best hidden anime spots?

going to anime nyc this year but also going to be my first time in NY. i assume anime nyc will be overpriced like all cons so i have looked into and saved a ton of other anime shops in and around nyc, but would love to know if you guys know of any great anime/manga shops that are less known or preferably have good pricing! thanks!!

also not sure if any stores sell scale figures but if they do let me know i’ve been wanting to buy one!!

was my first anime and still my fav i’ve yet to find anything that feels the same. i love how unique all the characters are, how lighthearted and silly it is most the time, but has its more serious moments occasionally, the fights are always interesting and not too repetitive/common. i enjoy battles but only when there for a reason, don’t like when there is the same type of constant battles. i’ll put everything i’ve watched/read below.

-demon slayer
-FMAB
-HXH

when shinji first moves in misato says something along the lines of “maybe i was too calm, if im not careful he might see right through it” what did she mean by that? i’m rewatching and was curious the first time i watched but forgot about it

i want to get more into the fantasy style anime shows but i never liked much isekai, im not too fond of the ones where they go into a game a lot of the ones ive tried to watch just tend to be too predictable and repetitive. but i am LOVING mushoku tensei, the reincarnation aspect is very interesting to me and i love all the characters so much, as well as the landscape is beautiful and so are all the towns. personally i didnt find it predictable at all and was caught off guard by a lot of things which i enjoyed. looking for recommendations that have a similiar vibe in those aspects ! i don’t love the fanservice but i can look past it but i prefer if as little as possible

it’s been almost 8 months and i’m nowhere near where i should be, haven’t even started running and jumping yet. i have pain right over my incision, a little above my knee cap, is this worrisome or what exactly is it that is hurting? i went to see my surgeon and she just said it was fine and i wasn’t doing enough exercise and i never got an answer. is this pain worrisome or is it a good pain? every time i do an excercise i don’t feel strain anywhere else except that spot, i would hope to feel strain on my quad muscle because thats what im trying to grow but it almost feels like the spot where the incision is is taking all the impact and strain and it’s really bothering me. plus it makes it really hard to do PT because after 2 sets my knee can’t take anymore. to add to that my other knee is now in pretty constant pain because of over compensating even tho i try hard to apply equal pressure. always any advice i just feel kinda stuck, or maybe i just wanted to rant im getting so sick of this injury
