Mobile Rig
Finally finished installing the FTM-6000R in my truck
II Bros Ravioli
Gino - mortadella, Genoa salami, cappy ham, and provolone. Topped with a muffaletta olive mix. Side of stuffed hot peppers.
Garbage Disposal Plumbing
My garbage disposal was leaking out the bottom, so I replaced it with the same model. The new one came with a right angle drainage pipe, but the old unit was installed with one that runs horizontal and connects to the other side of the sink. Is that okay? Should it drop immediately as it leaves the disposal instead of traveling straight?
Pickled Egg Ramen
HeavyTech got me into pickled eggs. This has become my go-to lunch.
Brine:
2 cups white vinegar
0.5 cup water
0.5 cup soy sauce
0.5 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp worcestershire
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp crushed red pepper
1 tbsp black peppercorns
1 tsp salt
1 tsp MSG
Pickles:
4 jalapeños
3 carrots
9 jammy eggs
Slice veggies and blanch for 2 - 3 minutes.
Lower eggs into boiling water. Cook for 6.5 minutes. Remove and place into cold water for 5 minutes before peeling.
HeavyTech Brine Reborn
My first jar of HeavyTech eggs was running low, so I strained the brine to reuse. I boiled it and added soy sauce, mirin, worcestershire, 1 tbsp sugar, a pinch of salt, and some more white vinegar. I cut most of the ingredients to be pickled. It's just jalapeños, carrots, and jammy eggs.
Turned my Techs into egg salad with homemade mayo on garlic rosemary sourdough.
I got bored of turning my light ON and OFF so I built an automatic light switcher called "light 2000". Here's how it works:
There are 2 sensors monitoring whether a person is entering or exiting the room. Entering = ON. Exiting = OFF.
Now, I know everyone reading is wondering about the same excruciating question...
"but what if there are more people in the room?"
The light 2000 is able to monitor how many people are in the room. 2 enters, 1 exits, light stays on.
Your room is safe.
Now...
The other daunting question.
"But what if I want natural light from my window?"
Roger that. Light 2000 has you covered.
I added a sensor for lights so whenever there is another source of sufficient light, the light 2000 doesn't do fancy things. It just exists in stand by mode.
💡 Funny fact: I almost got electrocuted by playing with Arduino and 220 volts electricity.
Still 5 days left until the HeavyTech eggs are ready, so I started a batch of veggies. Jalapeño, Fresno, carrot, radish, red onion, and garlic.
