DLC concept: THE OVERWORLD
Once you escape the well with the second manticore, it will land next to a wall with a small passage, one too small for the manticore, which basically becomes a waypoint between the Well and Overworld, but big enough for the player. After solving a few puzzles you will exit into a large 3x3 room, similar to the flame beacon room but above ground and with 4 new statues: A squid, a tiger, a bear, and an eagle. (there is also an entirely new egg room and warp hub here as well). The previously found flames are not compatible with these new statues, so you start exploring, solving puzzles and defeating the new flames' corresponding bosses. Once all of the flames are placed in their statues, a path will open in the middle, the light revealing a previously hidden, but extremely damaged headless statue that can only be described as: humanoid. This 5th area is crawling with fictional creatures, but instead of those shadow things and the manticore seen in the base game, the creatures here are a pretty wide variety of humanoid or anthropomorphic creatures. Once you reach the end of this gauntlet you find a room with a chest. inside this chest is....the 45th egg? If you return to the egg room, the final door will now be open. Inside is a chest containing the Morningstar, an upgrade to the yo-yo that gives it longer reach, cool spikes, and-most importantly-gives it the ability to smash those ever so teasing glass barriers. If you return to room with the 45th egg, you can now smash open a glass block in the stair revealing a secret path to a previously unmarked flame room, possessing a white flame. Upon smashing open another glass barrier and collecting the new White Flame, a set of 4 giant eyes come to life in the background and a remix of the manticore fight starts to play. THIS is the DLC's 5th and final boss. You must use the Morningstar in conjunction with your other tools in order to carve through a new path and solve new puzzles as the gigantic humanoid follows you around and the smaller humanoids block old routes. Once you escape the humanoid area and place the white flame in the damaged humanoid statue, the statue bursts into flames at the neck stump and other statues eyes also become flames, collectively creating an extremely bright light giving you a much better look at the giant chimera-humanoid and causing it to flee due to the sudden flashbang. After the chase sequence, the credits for the DLC roll.
