Will a Gotoh 1996t fit into my Pro Mod So Cal Style 1?

Hey guys! I recently purchased this 2016 Charvel Pro-Mod SoCal Style 1 and I’m waiting for it to arrive. In the mean time I have a Gotoh 1996t for a project that fell through. I’ve heard for a lot of Jackson’s the Gotoh is a direct drop in (I’m not so sure about charvels though). Does anybody know if it’ll be a drop in? Thank you.

Would a Gotoh 1996t fit a Jem Jr?

Hey guys! I originally wanted to put a Gotoh 1996t into my RG470DX but that project went through since the neck is twisted. I heard you can fit an original FR in the jem jr cavity but what about a 1996t? Thank you!

Looking for first Custom Ball

Hey!! I got into bowling a few months ago and go regularly. I’ve heard around from a few people that I should get my own ball because the house balls are terrible. I’ve been researching and I’ve been seeing people say that the 14-15 pound balls are the best. I do my best games with a 10. I’ve heard that heavier balls are generally better but I feel most comfortable with a 10. Do I need to go up in weight? If so what brands are good?

Output jack need to swap??

Hey guys! I’ve completely stripped my RG470DX, prepping it for a complete makeover, Gotoh bridge and hardware, and I was planning on putting DiMarzios in, I noticed that my RG470DX has a mono output long jack, it’s all one unit, it doesn’t have a jack plate or anything. Is it okay to use this output jack? Or should I get one from dimarzio. Swapping would mean I’d have to drill new holes for a mounting plate. Thank you guys!!

RG550 Genesis Neck heel

Hey guys! I recently bought and sold my RG550 genesis and I did it for a reason I feel like wasn’t the best.

My first Ibanez was an RG470DX, and the modern Ibanez neck heel was amazing but I hadn’t known any better.

I had so many people tell me that the RG550 genesis were the best guitar for your money (MIJ for about $1,000). And I believed it.

The day my guitar came, a brand new RG550 in desert sun yellow. I was STOKED. I tuned it up, set it up, and started playing. Fret edges felt amazing, I’m a HUGE fan of maple boards on almost every guitar.

Then I started soloing, going up fretboard until I started getting to the higher frets. Here’s the thing, I have VERY SMALL hands, way smaller than the average person my age. And stretching my hand to reach the 24th fret was insanely uncomfortable. The countoured heel never really did anything.

I was frustrated. This guitar sounded amazing and I loved it but I sold it because my hands were too small, and I could hardly bend notes on the high frets.

Are neck heels really a turn off for some people?? Am I going crazy?
