I think we got lucky honestly.

In the wake of The Amazing Digital Circus, I think the Smiling Friends fanbase was way too harsh on itself. People drawing porn or making dumb theories or looking too deeply into the show is absolutely nothing compared to whatever unholy internet plague TADC accidentally unleashed. Seriously, I’ve seen more unfettered insanity over a purple rabbit character than I ever could’ve imagined.

I didn’t buy the argument that Zach and Michael chose to end Smiling Friends because of its fanbase before, but I absolutely don’t now, because now I’ve seen what a terrible fanbase looks like. And this isn’t a dig against that show, I’ve only seen a couple episodes but I liked it fine.

[Spoilers c4e31] What do we think is the significance of…

…the Halovars and slitting the throat? It seems to me as an oddly specific method of killing, and I doubt that it’s by complete accident.

I think the first time we heard this mentioned was when Wick came home and told the Photarch the truth of why he ran away and what he did, and she said she had a list of things that she secretly knew and that if he contradicted anybody she would’ve slit his throat right then and there.

And then Wick was made to “prove he was Yanessa’s true heir” when he visited Primus by slitting the throat of a random innocent woman.

I think it just illustrates how insidious the Halovars are. They’ll look you in the eyes and give you the warmest of smiles as they kill you. They’re every bit as monstrous as the Tachonises, only less brash.

What is even the point bro 😭

Why are the piercings so huge? The only one that works on the nose is the basic hoop, and even the studs clip through the earlobes. Plus, the piercings scale in size with the head, so the only thing to make stuff like nose piercings work is kitbashing.

[spoilers c4e30] So, how long…

How long do you guys think it’ll be until we see Travis come back with a new character? This is my first CR campaign, so I don’t really know how long it took for the other campaigns, when a character would die and be replaced by someone else.

I did not care for Sektor and Cyrax’s MK11 designs

There’s just something that feels off about them. I think they’re too chunky, like why are they built like Geras? Neither of these characters are known for being big powerhouses, they should look sleek and agile. I think the only thing these guys have over their MK9 counterparts is their vibrant color.

What are some of your most fun/unique characters?

I saw the stereotypical Tzimisce that’s this fleshcrafted abomination that lives in a castle and creates bizarre and disgusting living “artwork,” and tried to turn that on its head. The character I made is instead a grubby street rat that more resembles a Brujah or Gangrel than one of the Dragons. There is absolutely nothing regal about her, she’s just a gangly tart with a pixie cut and way too much cheap makeup perfume that befriends flea-riddled rats and helps ease other fledglings into the Night Life of Chicago, and everyone calls her Bitsy.

I’ve recently really been getting into Werewolf the Apocalypse, and I started reading the Glass Walkers Tribebook. I have yet to turn this into an actual character, but I realized I could basically have a Rex from Fallout New Vegas style Crinosborn character. I’m thinking that they suffer from severe mental disabilities, bad enough that there really wouldn’t be much any of the other tribes could do for them. They’re a Glass Walker, however, and so I’m thinking their brain is more or less rebuilt with grotesque cybernetics, so that they could keep up with their packmates. I know the CyberDogs were mostly exterminated, but you can’t expect me to not want to give the tech wolves cool cybernetic upgrades. Plus, a Metis that’s at constant possible risk because their brain is more or less relying on the good will of a Weaver spirit sounds like good drama to me.

Most of my other characters more or less follow the conventions of whatever they belong to. There’s a death metal vocalist Brujah, a snotty Ventrue, a paranoid crackhead-turned Malkavian, and so on. I have yet to really get into any of the other splats though.
