Best Advice You’ve Gotten From an Instructor or Tech

One of the best pieces of advice I got was: “Don’t rush to fix, understand first.” An instructor told me that most mistakes happen when you try to solve too fast without actually knowing what the system is doing. That stuck with me because it’s easy to panic and start guessing, especially when you’re new.

DAE keep binge-watching shows but never actually finish them, even the ones they really enjoy?

I just realized I keep doing this and I don’t know why.

Right now I’m stuck in the same season of The Good Doctor, even though I was really enjoying it. I also keep thinking about starting other series like Young Sheldon, The Big Bang Theory, Suits, and Grey’s Anatomy, but I always get overwhelmed because they’re so long.

Even The Walking Dead is still unfinished for me.

I don’t lose interest completely, I actually like the shows, but I just can’t seem to commit to finishing them.

What made you realize HVAC was the right career for you?

For me, it wasn’t one big moment, it was more when things slowly started to make sense. At first everything felt confusing, but once I started understanding how systems actually work and could trace problems step by step, it felt really satisfying. That’s when I realized I liked this kind of work, being able to figure things out in realsituations instead of just theory. It felt like something I could actually grow in long-term.

Movie recommendations please

I’m looking for good movie suggestions from any of these genres: romcom, comedy, horror, or thriller. Doesn’t have to be anything new, just something really worth watching. I’m fine with light fun romcoms, solid comedy films, or something more intense like horror or thriller depending on the mood.
