People who just need to be the ones who'll write those overused, tired jokes we've all seen a 1000 times before. Also, people who encourage them by upvoting that crap.

E.g., someone posts a picture of a bug in their food, and inevitably, you can bet a million dollars that there will be a comment:

"ThAt'S eXtRa PrOtEiN"

Undercooked meat? "ThAt CoW iS sTiLL mOoInG"

Significant car damage? "It WiLL bUfF RiGhT oFF"

Sketchy construction or poorly secured load on a vehicle? "JuSt SlAp It AnD sAy tHaT’S nOt GoInG aNyWhErE"

People whose laughter sounds like crying / sobbing

Mostly heard it with women.

My mother was like that. I hear this sound from downstairs, I get scared shitless because it sounds like hysterical crying. Turns out, she's laughing at some joke dad is telling her.

Or, I walk down the staircase of an apartment building, hear this sound from inside one of the neighbors apartments, sounds like someone being abused or whatever, and then a few seconds later it turns out that's just laughter, not hysterical crying.

CMV: Driving an unnecessary loud vehicle on public roads is reprehensible, is an objectively worse act than some minor crimes, and if you drive one, I can't hold you in any higher regard than I would hold a common criminal in

We know that noise polution harms health. We know that interrupted sleep and lack of sleep harms health.

If you're driving an unnecessarily loud vehicle, you're a willing and direct contributor to both.

By unnecessarily loud, I mean all the exhausts designed specifically to produce an emmotional appeal of a "wroom" sound, and overly powerful engines that are completely unnecessary for the sole purpose the vehicles on public roads have, which is driving from point A to point B at speeds between 1 km/h and 130-ish km/h and acceleration around 7-8-ish seconds from 0-100 km/h at best.

A Golf 7 1.6 TDI is a vehicle of reasonable loudness. A Golf GTI isn't because it has excess performance you don't need on public roads, and is engineered to produce a certain kind of sound. Most motorcycles also fall into this category.

In this don't include loud cargo trucks or similar that are loud out of necessity.

And driving such a car or a motorcycle is a worse act than some crimes, I propose.

People need money to survive. So sometimes people steal or do some small-time drug dealing to survive. So, some such crimes are, though not excusable, at the very least understandable and I can empathize with them.

But if you choose to drive an overly loud vehicle, **you're willingly choosing to do harm to others just so you can have some fun**. Even when you're not being harmful, you're still being a nuisance to a significant number of people. Just so you can have some "fun".

Also, a single theft usually impact one person or organization. A single car/bike ride may impact hundreds of people or more.

Out of thousands of things one can have fun with on this world that don't impact other people, you just HAVE to use this one that's being a direct harm and a nuisance.

If I walked on the street yelling like a madman making noise, doing that every day, or if I dragged a speaker with me all day long producing a bunch of noise in front of people's houses, people would ask me what the fuck is wrong with me, and I might even get a punch in the face if I persist in making that noise.

But drive a car with equal amounts of noise, and suddenly there's nothing wrong with that.

Well, I submit there's a lot wrong with that.

"Car entusiasts", please CMV.

Websites (e.g. webshops and similar) that reload the list every time you select a filter

Color - click - page reloads

Material - click - page reloads

Type - click - page reloads

FFS, let me select ALL the filters first, apply them all at the same time, and then reload the page once with all the filters applied, instead of applying each filter instantly as I'm clicking through them and reloading the page after every single fuckin' selection.

People who respond to recommendation questions with nothing but the title of the book/movie/game

Post question: "Please recommend be a non-fiction book based on XYZ criteria"

Answer: "Slouching Towards Bethlehem."

Well, thank you very much, but that's not very helpful. What is the book about? Religion? Palestine? Jesus? Posture? Travelling? What made it interesting and what made you recommend it?

A recommendation is not particularly useful unless you explain it.
