GameStop is now taking pre-orders for Delta Reign. The pricing is still not great, but it does seem to be better after The Pokémon Company International threatened to pull distribution following the 30th Anniversary pre-order fiasco.

I'll preface this by saying I don't really consider these prices a deal. Delta Reign is a cool set, but I don't see the print run being limited in any capacity. I fully expect it to be printed similarly to Perfect Order, Chaos Rising, and Pitch Black, meaning there should be plenty of opportunities to secure these products at, or close to, MSRP.

That being said, sometimes convenience wins. Not everyone has the bandwidth to wait in lines, stay up waiting for Target drops, or constantly watch Pokémon Center only to historically miss their drops anyway. If you have a big chase in this set, or just want to guarantee you have product secured without dealing with all of that, paying the premium may be worth it to you.

Just keep in mind that you're mostly paying extra for convenience and certainty here, not because these are particularly good prices.

Tips for Target Online Pokémon Drops

Best setup: Keep Target open, favorite the items ahead of time, and add them to your cart from Favorites instead of relying only on the alert link.

Checkout tip: Use Add to Cart → Cart. If you get stuck on the High Demand screen, press ESC, return to your cart, and try again.

PC trick: Click Place Order until the dotted selection outline appears, then repeatedly press ENTER. This can help during high-traffic drops.

Don’t panic: Target orders can take time to process. Watch for a confirmation email or card authorization before assuming the order failed.

Avoid cancellations: Do not place excessive duplicate Pokémon orders. Too many orders within a short period can trigger cancellations or account restrictions.

Payment issues: Credit cards generally work best. If Target repeatedly rejects the CVV, try removing and re-adding the card or completing a small regular purchase first.
