This guitar is coming out of a storage room and has sat in extreme Texas heat for over 5 months. So, if I put a new knock on it, quality pick-ups, would it be something great in terms of playability and sound?
The reason why this shocks me so, is because The XX are not good musicians/ writers. They look cool on stage, but neither one can sing. And, they’ve both built their vocal style around singing, but can’t. Being a guitar player myself, her guitar work sounds like it’s coming from a 14 year-old trying to learn. Plucking the same types of single notes over and over and over. No Chords, transitions, no dynamics, just the same tone with heavy reverb and delay.
I saw them at Coachella in 2017 before Radiohead (my fave), and they were bad. I just watched another performance, equally as bad.
The ultimate question is, how have they come into headlining ACL? I would X out The XX from
The line-up, if I could. I would put a big X over The XX. It’s bad gay bar music.

I’m trying to purchase one in full, AccessT only have the installment plan. They charge extra for the installment which defeats the purpose of taking advantage of Early Bird.
So, if I go through Fever, I can get one in full, but I’m having to check out in all Spanish. I can’t understand anything, so I’m hesitating to check out on Fever.

This album has an international feel. It’s heavy and it’s sick. Just when I thought that I was going to split Skrillex’s ACL set with Charli XcXs.
Now I have to spend extra cash for weekend two. That’s how good SOMA is.
I want to see both of these bands. Slayer is doing a special performance, which I’m okay with missing if I need to.
For those who’ve been to Sick New World in Dallas, how was it? Worth the expense? Will Deftones and System clash?
I’ve been really liking Violet Grohl’s music, and her performances I think are great. I gave Noah the same attention when he started putting music out. I listened to some things over a year ago, and also checked out the track Thom put on his new playlist.
To me it’s, I’m trying to be just like my Dad music. That’s a beautiful thing, but I’m hoping he finds his true self as a musician. Someone told me they saw him play live, and that he could really play.
Violet Grohl’s music is really great. She’s a cool lyricist, sounds original. Heavy guitars. Im not as much of an admirer of FF as I am of Nirvana and These Crooked Vultures. But, Thom Yorke is like a hero of mine.
I’ll always listen to what Noah Yorke has going on. I think one day, if he sticks with it, there’ll be some good stuff.
Does anyone remember seeing them with Pat Smear? At a huge show? While they were supporting In Utero? Ive been taking in lots of live music recently, and I wish I could’ve seen Nirvana. But, I was 9 years old when he passed.
It was only a few years after ‘94 that I had my first electric and was learning SLTT.
I wonder what it’s like watching Nirvana play with all that volume. Anyone remember? Were they so great?
So, honestly I’m trying to figure out if I’m going to split sets, or spend another couple hundred bucks just to see Charlie. I would get to see Turnstile again and see Charlie XcX. Who I’ve really become to love since Brat.
I won’t miss Skrillex.
