food induced tumble

i was trying to get a video of the last moments of his moult and of course when he was so close to being completely out of the old shed my phone cut it off because i ran out of storage🫤but i still got a pretty good video! this is about 35 minutes sped up 20x

i was just walking past the tank and saw him wiggling, sat down and recorded and he just got into this position and he’s still in it now. you can hear the disbelief in my voice LOL but i’ve been waiting for him to moult for the past three weeks so if i’m right then this is crazy. also yes i know he is kind of fat but he hasn’t eaten since the 1st of this month lol so i have had him on a diet but this is so cool

obviously it’s not perfect but i think it’s okay. in retrospect i should have made it on a different bacmground but i think it’s okay. i did lose the bottom right leg in the process so had to glue it back on lol but i think jts okay

the abdomen didn’t make it through the process unfortunately so i’m gonna replace it with an oval stone, definitely room for improvement but i think i did okay

found this guy on my window missing a bunch of his legs. he’s a wild jumping spider, i keep tarantulas but ive never had a jumping spider before but i couldn’t resist helping him lol. i’ve ordered a small tank and some accessories . he’s literally tiny though like less than a centimetre. currently keeping him in a ventilated jar until the new tank arrives. any advice ?

i don’t know if she came back out to ask for more or show me what she caught🤣🤣i’m so glad i managed to record this well, i’ve never seen her actually have to go after the crickets because they usually walk right into her mouth so this was a nice change.

this is my lovely lady audrey, accompanying (from a distance) seymore, my first tarantula, both names from little shop of horrors of course. the wooden hide has been replaced for a stone one, and it seems her only current interest is sitting on her doorstep and watching me…quite intimidating really
