FIA hate Hamilton.
Wouldn’t give us a race for final lap as Russell didn’t pit so would have been in trouble on those old mediums. I can’t express how much I dislike the FIA. Really ruining the sport.

He seems to be able to pull away when they had a nice tow going to give Lewis some defence from Kimi but he’s just blasted away !! Oh ffs a penalty!!!
Woooooow Lets see what happens with George . I think we have the front.

Writing this as I sit in a pub watching as I bumped into a Right Wing Protest I wasn’t expecting in my local town centre.
My perspective on the Fermi Paradox has less to do with technology and more to do with our maturity.
Humanity is capitalist by nature and much of our technological development has come through military research, with society benefiting as a by-product. Our trajectory seems to be focused more on increasing capability than advancing humanity itself.
I don’t think the ideal civilisation is a hive mind. I think it’s a civilisation that functions more like an organism or ecosystem. Our own bodies are the blueprint. The liver doesn’t compete with the kidneys. The pancreas doesn’t withhold insulin because another organ got funding first. Every part works towards the success of the whole.
Humanity doesn’t work like that.
We have six labs researching the same thing, not because it gives us the best chance of success, but because everyone wants to be first to market. Nations compete. Companies compete. Governments do the bare minimum to keep things running. We are fragmented by nationality, race, sex, politics and economics. To me, that points to a species that is still immature.
If you entertain ideas such as previous civilisations, lost worlds or ancient catastrophes like the great flood, then things like WiFi and AI are not necessarily evidence of unprecedented advancement. They could simply be the latest iteration of a cycle we’ve been through before. Build. Grow. Destroy ourselves. Repeat.
My view is that until the plight of every human becomes the responsibility of every other human, every day, we are not ready.
Not because we aren’t intelligent enough.
Because we aren’t mature enough.
I think any civilisation capable of travelling between the stars would have solved this problem long before solving interstellar travel, a great example is Elon Musk. He’s the guy “taking us to mars” but what values would he take as an apartheid baby that grew up to double down.
Besides Human genetics, we simply export our own flawed systems across the galaxy.
Imagine giving local councils access to atomic energy or quantum computing today. Many of our institutions struggle with far simpler responsibilities. The issue isn’t the technology. It’s whether the people wielding it can be trusted.
If you have the largest pharmaceutical companies the cures for all human ailments, they would find a way to monetise that instead of thinking we’ve solved diseases.
So when I think about the Fermi Paradox, I wonder whether advanced civilisations stay away from us for the same reason we don’t hand a loaded weapon to a child.
Maybe technological advancement isn’t the barrier.
Maybe maturity is.
And maturity has a cost.
Let’s love each other, care for each other and want the very best for each other. Everyday. Maybe the key to the next type of fuel is locked inside a mind that is on fentanyl under a bridge in LA or inside a mind that walks 4 hours walking for clean water & 8 hours working the ground for food & no access to education in the middle of Thailand or Sudan.
Until we see things as such and we demand our leaders to treat us as such. We are still children. I understand this weeks extremely emotive but I assure you it’s mostly from a logical place.
Holy Shii did Ferrari just get the strat right?!?!
P1 lads.
Wow. It’s on lads it’s really on.
Sea of Red! Absolute disaster.
