Has anyone dealt with "Job Placement and Executive Placement" recruiter advertising on Gumtree?

Hi everyone,

I’ve come across a recruiter called Job Placement and Executive Placement that has been advertising vacancies on Gumtree. Before I apply or share any personal information, I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with them.

Are they a legitimate recruitment agency? Has anyone successfully found employment through them, attended interviews, or had any issues with them?

I’m just trying to verify their credibility before proceeding, so any feedback, reviews, or personal experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

References on a CV?

Now that I'm looking for another job, I'm beginning to feel that I've been doing my CV all wrong...

I've always included my references with their names, job titles, companies, and contact numbers at the bottom of my CV. I thought it showed transparency and gave employers confidence that my work history could be verified.

But I'm starting to see many people saying that you should rather write “References available on request” and leave the reference details off your CV until an employer asks.

I'm unsure which approach is better.

My thinking was:

\- Including references shows I have nothing to hide.

\- It gives recruiters immediate access if they want to verify my experience.

\- It saves time during the hiring process.

But the other side seems to be:

\- It takes up valuable CV space.

\- Employers usually don't contact references until later in the process.

\- Personal details of referees shouldn't be shared too widely with every company you apply to.

For context, I have a retail/customer service background and I'm applying for roles where reliability and previous work performance are important.

What do recruiters and hiring managers prefer nowadays?

Do you include full reference details on your CV, or do you only write “References available on request”?

Should I put reference details on my CV, or just write “References available on request”?

The Impact of Explaining Job Changes on a CV

Should you include reasons for leaving previous jobs on your CV, and can it affect future applications?

I’m looking for advice on whether it is a good idea to mention reasons for leaving previous jobs on a CV.

For example, if someone left a job because of long working hours, shift patterns, career changes, work-life balance, or wanting a different type of role, should that be explained on the CV, or should it only be discussed during an interview if asked?

Could including a reason for leaving help employers understand your situation, or could it negatively affect your chances by drawing attention to something they may not have considered?

What is the general opinion from recruiters, hiring managers, or people who have changed jobs before?

Do you include reasons for leaving on your CV, and has it helped or hurt your applications?

What is your experience with shiftmate.co.za

So there is this website that claims that you can get a job without a CV, ID, etc.

All you need is a cellphone number and you can register to apply for jobs. There is no interview and all the jobs pay minimum wage or higher.

The way it works is that if you get matched to a role, you receive an SMS and reply to accept then do a paid trial and from there, if the employer feels you can do the job, then you get offered permanent or temporary employment.

There are jobs listed in many different cities and many types of jobs, such as retail, medical, call centre, etc.

I wanted to ask if anyone used this site and knows of it.

P.S. They don't charge the jobseeker any fees.

Does anyone else feel that entry level and midrange Samsung smartphones are way overpriced?

Considering that Chinese smartphones often give you the same features or even more at a better price point, I feel that Samsung are now exploiting their customers, solely based on their reputation.

Why do some motorists do this?

I just wanted to ask why do some motorists drive around with their hazards on but somehow managed to jam it so it doesn't flash. I added a picture for reference.
