I've wanted to do this kitbash for quite a while
I'm trying to get hold of a preferably NOS Dakkarig, but as long as it's unpainted I'd be interested.
Before I glue everything down, I wanted to double check that this would be about the same height as Lord Solar Leontus. I checked on minicompare and it seemed like his sword is about the same height as a sentinel.
So I got this model with the intent to make a Lord Solar more themed to the Krieg. Obviously, they printed it at to small a scale and we're working out a proper sized model. In the meantime, would this work for a cyclops? It seems to be a similar size.
So I've seen some pretty cool decals and symbols and the like that people have painted on their tanks. As I've been working on mine I thought of getting a book of various armored fighting vehicles to get some inspiration from what actual soldiers have painted on their tanks and the like. I checked a couple of local bookstores and the books that I found mostly just show blank vehicles.
Since I've been led to believe that a good chunk of Guard players are military buffs like me, does anyone have any recommendations of a book that features armored vehicles with a variety of unit symbols, decals, and rhe like?
Again, they're pretty rough and WIPs but for now I think they'll look good enough on the tabletop.
There's still a good amount of work to do but I'm really loving how my little Death Korps army is coming along. I've enjoyed painting it and putting together their little scenic trench bases (especially the Death Rider riding down the Termagant), and I just love them all together (and my imperial rhino that is only in the list because I found one and wanted it for another army, it'll get replaced when I have enough guard vehicles)
While it's not the best lighting, these ended up being a blast to paint. I appreciate the posts in the sub about how difficult they were to paint fully built so I ended up just painting them as I built them. I'm going to try out the transfer sheets and then finish the bases when I get some barbed wire. They have distracted me all week though and I keep just picking them up and marveling at the sculpts and enjoying what I built.
