Guys pls tell me what you think
My ex started dating a new girl. I am an engineer with a job and my own apartment; my ex is a mechanic who was studying to be a welder. When we were together, he seemed happy with me—he even showed me off to everyone—but we only lasted three months before he left me because we "weren't compatible" and he couldn't give me what I wanted. I found out his new girlfriend just finished high school, doesn't study, and apparently is a drug user and has a very unkempt appearance. My ex isn't ugly, and I think what hurt most about our breakup is that he is attractive. I don't know if his insecurity about being with me was stronger than what he felt for me, so he looked for something completely opposite? I don't want to offend the other girl; I just don't know how to feel because, even if I don't want to admit it, it still hurts since our breakup was recent.
I thought he and I had good chemistry. We played around a lot, laughed all the time, and were very physically affectionate. His family liked me, and his dad even bragged about me. I don’t know, friends, I’ve been crying so much :( I’ll delete this if it offends anyone.
Toward the end, my ex and I argued a lot because he became more distant, and I would ask him if he was okay or why he was changing toward me. I eventually got desperate and became the anxious one in the relationship, and he became an avoidant. Even though he left me, he wanted to keep seeing me for sex until I put a stop to it and we stopped talking completely. Recently, I realized he blocked me everywhere, even though I haven't bothered him. His new girlfriend probably asked him to, I don’t know. I just want to stop thinking about him and his actions :( A pretty face isn't everything, friends; that man is completely lost.
My friends tell me that, despite him being attractive, I was "prettier" than him, though we both looked good together. His mom took photos of us every chance she could, and his parents welcomed me into their home so well. I truly grew very fond of him; I saw potential in him, and seeing him like this hurts. I don't know how to make peace with this subject. My friends tell me he should be the one feeling bad for losing me, not the other way around, but I don't know—my self-esteem has completely plummeted. Was I not good enough for him to love me?
Guys pls give me your opinion
