Final year aber student, was talking to some freshers about kicking the bar. They asked why we did it, and some others in the group responded with a number of reasons. I love this Aber tradition, but what is the reason behind it and when did it start? I assumed it was for good luck. Figured this would be the place to look for some Aber specific knowledge
Ahoy there micronationalists! Today, the IPK will begin an effort to specifically target the common typo on Microwiki of writing 'loose' where 'lose' is meant. We attempt to have the error fully eradicated, and see this as an achievable goal unlike our old strategy of searching randomly chosen pages for typos. Quotations will be exempt from this e.g. 'King Jack said on social media that 'Quartermaster Sam will loose this election''. Whereas this may seem to be pedantic, we believe that MicroWiki plays a role in representing micronationalism, and if it looks sloppy or as if it were written by a child, it makes us all seem all the more amateur.
If anyone has any other suggestions of common typos to search and target, we would welcome them!
(In case it is not obvious, the name of the initiative is tongue-in-cheek)
Ahoy there! Just heard about there being daily Party Barge quests, how do you unlock these? I have been to look at Avery and he doesn't have a quest for me. Do you have to be at a specific level or specific point in the story to be able to do them?
Galactic Republic- very centralised bureaucratic democracy
Galactic Empire- based off of fascism by George Lucas
First Order- larpers trying to copy the Empire, star wars equivalent of neo nazis
Rebel Alliance- fight for freedom against the Empire, no one clear ideology among followers except 'empire bad'
Confederacy of Independent Systems- capitalistic independence movement run by merchant syndicates, bankers, blockaded a planet as they didn't want to pay taxes
Hutts- depraved gangsters who care for no law but their own degeneracy.
(Maybe this is a low-effort post but wanted to put something at the top of the 'new' feed so the Jack Black fake news post was no longer at the top)
To all those who didn't want to risk uninstall and were going to wait for the patch, it's out! Go to googleplay store and there is an update- I have updated and it seems to be fine and in working order
Edit: I was using my Google account to log in. If you use another method, then this may not work?
Ahoy there! Recently, the citizen known as JaraBK has created a piece of national artwork- a countryball of the Inland Pirate Kingdom. This be the first piece of national artwork created by a citizen, and as a result, they be now awarded with membership of the Order of the Golden Anchor as recognition of their service to the nation's culture.

Ahoy there! Recently, a referendum was announced in the IPK on whether AI-generated content should be banned from the official IPK server. After the citizens went to the polls, we now have our result, with the majority of those who voted voting in favour of the ban. Now, the AI Restriction Act has come into force, mandating that AI-generated content may not be posted on the server and that if any is, the poster will be asked to remove it.
Ahoy there! Today, a secondary simplified flag has been created for the Inland Pirate Kingdom. It be not intended to replace the standard flag for official uses, but be an easily-drawable version that is bold and recognisable from a distance. Its purpose be for situations where, for whatever reason, the flag must be hand-drawn, or in crisis/military situations where visibility and ease are more important than detail. The Secondary Flag aims to replicate the design of the main official IPK flag, but without the detailed images that make it difficult to draw, and with a thicker red cross that be more noticeable for distance viewing.
We be very proud of our main original flag, and the original one will still be the one used for nearly everything. However, it is usually seen as important that a flag is drawable by most of its citizens, even children. This alternate version of the flag fills that niche, for situations where simplicity is a must.

Ahoy there micronationalists! Last weekend, Captain Trilinious of the Inland Pirate Kingdom visited the Principality of Sherwood, one of the micronation's three provinces. The visit was a success, with the Principality's national dish, pancakes, being enjoyed
As well as this, a small forgotten plot of land that was previously bought on Atlas Earth by the Captain was rediscovered. This plot will be officially recognised as being part of the Principality of Sherwood due to it being in the same holiday park that the Principality is recognised as existing inside. The original Principality of Sherwood territory, located inside of the pancake restaurant, has also been doubled in size. It is now a 60' by 30' rectangle.
In other IPK news, the Crown Lands have generated enough income that the Kingdom is able to give a grant to a charity. A vote will be expected soon on which one shall be chosen.

On holiday at a place with a zipwire, and couldn't help but to notice that on Atlas Earth, the zipwire shows up as a road. IRL there is no road across the lake, only a zipwire. Kinda found it funny, makes you wonder what else could Atlas Earth count as a road?
Ahoy there! Recently the Inland Pirate Kingdom had a vote on what to do with a small amount of IRL money (£5) that the Kingdom's Crown Lands had gained via the Atlas Earth app. The result was a decision to donate the money to ActionAid's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. The Captain did not personally vote in this decision.
The IPK hopes to do the same in future at some point, and wishes to set a positive example of small but tangible impact of a micronation in the real world

Ahoy there micronationalists! Today, the Inland Pirate Kingdom celebrates a key milestone in its work to preserve, improve, and contribute to the great community resource that is MicroWiki. Although small, every typo removed, every redundant apostrophe deleted, helps add to the professionalism of the site, allowing it to be taken more seriously by future micronationalists. We thank all those who work alongside us to maintain this wonderful resource. Without ye, none of this would be possible
'Freedom be beyond all Treasure!'
Ahoy there micronationalists! Today marks a key expansion of the lands of the Inland Pirate Kingdom. The area of Fortress Province has been added to significantly, within the IPK rules of expansion, and there is a planned visit to the Principality of Sherwood later on this summer.
As of today, the Captain is officially back in residence in IPK territory, having returned permanently from Germany as scheduled.

New to VTM, was just introduced to V20 by a friend who has been playing it for years. Was considering playing a young Caitiff who essentially works as a delivery guy for the Nosferatu. He would have the 'Friend of the Underground' merit- the Nos tolerate him in their turf in return for him delivering supplies that they themselves cannot buy- unlike human-looking clans, Nos can't exactly walk into a pharmacy or a grocery store. His hideout would be a small camp in the outer reaches of the tunnels, and he is a lot more at home underground than outside. Does this work, what changes are needed?
And we're meant to believe the guy isn't authcentre, or even authright?
If you're the guy who keeps churning out these memes, you don't need to any more. This meme pretty much sums them all up.
Just noticed the lack of apostrophe in the Atlas Earth 'no Internet' screen. Sure it's pendantic to notice, but it's kinda funny it's still there after presumably quite a while, no devs have changed it. Anyone else noticed this?
Went to paint on the England v Argentina match canvas, only to find it wasn't there. Seems they've got rid of all of the world cup canvases, unless it is an issue on my end. I can see everything else as normal. Have they been removed?
Ahoy there maties!
Today, the Inland Pirate Kingdom is proud to announce its 300th contribution to the improvement of MicroWiki. Here in the IPK, we believe that good presentation is half the battle towards legitimacy, whereas lack of 'professionalism' can, sometimes unfairly, ruin the standing of a micronation. Thus, we have joined the effort to clean up MicroWiki pages, one edit at a time, so that MicroWiki remains a coherent and well-presented resource for the micronational community
