I can't think of the name of a character actor. He was in old (pre-1970) movies and did a lot of black-and-white TV shows from the 50s and 60s. He had a deep, mellifluous voice. He wasn't movie star handsome but was interesting-looking with big eyes. Very good actor. He would have been in his 40s or so when he was doing these shows
