I pre ordered tfp optimus may 31st, the shop app kept saying I was supposed to get it June 10, but it hasn't even shipped yet. Do pre orders normally take this long?

after waiting a while for materials to come in the mail, ive finally begun the process of restoring and repainting my buzz lightyear, I had to take him apart so I can repaint him properly, I feel like such a villain ripping apart my buzz like that.

I want to restore and repaint my collection buzz lightyear but I could use some advice on some steps. I want to repaint the green parts with a more accurate green color and then go over them with a stronger glow spray paint.

my plan so far:

disasembemble buzz into main components, chest front and back, neck, waist, arms and legs, and mask off all the non green parts.

use a white primer on the green parts

use warhammer model paint and mix up a better green color and brush it onto the green parts

use rustolem glow spray paint

use a clear coat to protect everything when done.

my questions are should I remove the current green paint before priming it, if so how should I remove the original paint, sanding, or stripper, or rubbing alchohol?

I dont have a lot of experience with painting or finishing stuff, I know to get a smooth result at some point if should sand stuff but im not sure at what steps I should sand or what grit to use, or if I should wet sand, id love to know some advice on that as well.

I also want to buff out the scratches in the helmet, does anyone have any recommendations on what products to use on that?

also there is over spray on my copy, some white parts have glow in the dark paint on them, whats the best way to remove the excess paint.

also the 2 fake backpack screws seem messed up, to me it looks like the previous owner tried to unscrew them and stripped some of the plastic and paint off, whats the best way I can clean those up.

and finally his right knee doesn't shut as close to the body as the other knee, if anyone knows how to fix that id love to work on it while im already taking him apart.

I have a 2nd hand thinkway collection buzz, I dont know which version exactly, it didn't come with a box or anything and I don't know what year it is. I've noticed the paint is pretty sloppy, some is from age and wear and tear from play, but im wondering of the previous owner tried to use glow in the dark spray paint on him, the green parts feel really rough and the glow is spotty at best, and there's some over spray, especially on the right foot there's a messy mark of glow paint on the white part of his foot, and the right foot glows way more than the left one. Is it possible it came like that from the factory or is it likely an amateur custom paint job?

certainly an interesting way to advertise your Honda Fit, looks ai to me but I cant tell, the other photos of the car looked normal and a few were in the same location as this one.
