Does anybody know if there's been any fiction published featuring a Satanic perspective? I don't mean fiction about the Devil--obviously there's scads of that--I mean fiction featuring characters who are identifiable as Satanists in their beliefs and attitudes.
Way back in the 90s, when independent video rental stores still existed, my local store was called DJ's Video and they had everything, including a lot of anime. There was an OVA or a movie or something called, at least in the English release, 13 Boys. I think that's what it was called.
It's basically about 13 boys who get stranded on an island alone, and then at one point, they encounter a girl, and that starts a chain of events that leads to their rescue. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Does anyone know the Japanese title?
I am on Kaiva Gamma, and I seem stuck. I fought the tech priests with the suicide bomber servitors, and then I went up the elevator and got through the part with the steam pipes and we found the junior tech priest who escaped the corruption who is part of Hendrix's quest. Then we climbed back down to the main level where we started the mission, and now I don't know where to go. The elevator that brought down the suicide bombers is in the UP position and can't be used again; the bridge on chains is also up and there's nothing to bring it down. There's no more bad guys I can get to, and no more quest items or intractable things that I can find.
I feel like I'm missing something obvious.
If it matters, I overlooked the room with the malfunctioning servitors and only got them to start following me after I did all of the above.
I'm an author by trade, which means I have less money than most full-time workers, but I'm also a property-owner, so I have certain structural interests that a wage-earner does not; I also have the prospect of increasing my property as a result of my labor, which means that (theoretically) I can increase my own income by individual rather than collective action. Yet, I'm dependent upon a section 8 voucher and SNAP card, because my books don't make enough for me to survive in the market and I'm very, very, almost magically lucky. I see my fate bound to the workers because the changes that would benefit them would no doubt also help me, but I suspect I would be an unintended beneficiary.
So how do I fit in, class-wise? I'm a leftist, I've read Capital vol 1., plus a few other texts; I'm asking because I do not recall if he ever addressed my situation, but he was a professional writer so I think he must have thought of it--how do writers and other IP workers fit into a Communist critique of capitalism? How would writers and other IP workers survive under Communism?

That's not acceptable to me, and it shouldn't be acceptable to you. We're going to fix this, and to do that we need more mods, more effort, more enforcement of the rules. If you've ever shaken your head in frustration that we're falling behind on the job, if you've ever thought you could do as good or better a job, then now is your time to step up and awe us with your prowess.
The more of us who contribute, the easier it will be for everyone. We CAN do this! And if we don't, I'm gonna have to see about moving r/ladyladyboners to an approved-posters only model, which I don't want to do, but is the only other way I can think of to stem the tide of nonsense and bullpucky.

My dog licks his mouth to get my attention. He runs his tongue around his lips and it creates kind of a wet smacking sound. It drives me up a wall, and I can't get him to stop or try to get my attention in a different way. He has epilepsy, and a few times has done this right before having a seizure, and I have PTSD, so every time he does this, my adrenaline gets triggered. It's bad, it's really bad, and he won't stop doing it.
He'll do this right as I'm falling asleep, when he hears my breathing start to even out, and the adrenaline will wake me up and prevent me from getting to sleep easily. I will be at the cusp of sleep one moment and then wide awake shaking with rage and he'll just keep doing it. I don't know how to get him to stop.
I need him to stop doing this so I can get to sleep. Help!
