Looking back at the John Olerud trade

Figured it was time to look back on some positive. One of my favorite Met trades of all time was the John Olerud trade. Still remember hearing it on the fan and being super excited. plus it only cost us Robert Person if I remember correctly. My Dad(RIP) and I felt Keith Hernandez and John Olerud were the best pure First Basemen we ever had. Both pure hitters, clutch, and obviously great defensively. even though Olerud was only here three years he had monster years with us and I was heartbroken when he left. probably the only time i was more upset was when Wright was forced to retired. Interested to hear your thoughts on John Olerud!

Look kid just look out for yourself

One of my favorite aspects of the show is the evolution if the Mike/Jesse relationship. At first Mike sees Jesse as a selfish out if control drug addict. Then when he gets to spend time with him he realizes his initial evaluation of him was way off and he has a lot more to offer. Then the turning point is him he handled himself in Mexico culminating in saving Mikes life which earns him Mikes respect forever. It’s sad in Seadon 5 where Mike is trying to protect him from Walts manipulation and get him out of that life. Mike isn’t the kind of guy to say “ I care about you” but I think that’s what he meant when he told Jesse to look out for himself

Was Leo the true power behind the Vinci Family and Empire Bay?

First Off I only played the first two games if the Mafia series but I enjoyed Mafis 2 story the most. I felt there were more interesting characters in all 3 crime families. However my favorite is probably Leo. Old School mob boss who can come across like a father figure I. One scene and terrifying the next. Also correct me if I’m wrong but I think Leo was the true power within the Vinci family and maybe Empire Bay. Although he holds Frank Vinci is high regard my hunch is that he’s happy to stay in the shadows as the consigliere and let Frank takes the hits from the FBI. It also makes sense why Carlo wanted him whack knowing the Vinci family would crumble. Then of course the whole Vito and Joe mess with the Triads. He had an enough power to keep Vito alive at least. I havent played Mafia 3 but I’ve heard Joe is alive as Well. Interested to hear your thoughts on Leo and feel free to correct me if I was off base on anything

Day 2 Draft predictions

I think even the biggest Drury critic like myself can admit Drury had a really solid day yesterday. Maybe his best day as the GM. I was wondering what fans were hoping for in Day 2. we currently have the lady pick of the second round but have 3 thirds. do we package a couple of those to move up? is there a trade out there you like? interested to hear your thoughts!
