Why do people believe that books are something to refer for theistic view ?

I don't really understand why people think religious books can prove the existence of God. Have you actually read them? A book, by itself, cannot prove whether God exists or not. This applies to every religion. At best, we can assume some of these texts were written by thoughtful or wise individuals shaped by their time and culture. But I don't understand why people treat them as unquestionable frameworks for how everyone should live. A lot of these systems were also designed to create order, obedience, and collective identity. It's psychologically safer to follow something pre-written than to confront uncertainty and think independently. The human brain naturally prefers cognitive ease over deeply questioning things for itself, why people take the account that human nature utterly relies on selfish motive, but not inherently bad they can do anything to save their species or own selves, which is another proof that this type of book exists, I mean even well thought book sounds like it's made for enlightenment but it's not necessarily meant to direct those stuff to a godly figure.Navigating existence without a predefined framework requires immense cognitive effort and forces an individual to confront existential dread and moral ambiguity, which most of the people not have courage to do.

Edit: My original point wasn't that religious people are stupid or weak. It's that human cognition naturally gravitates toward frameworks that reduce uncertainty. Religion is remarkably well designed for that purpose. Recognizing that psychological function doesn't require accepting its metaphysical claims as true. That's all I was saying.

The worst part is not knowing why !

I am 21, an INFJ 5w4. From the start, I have always found myself kinda resonating with INTJs, and they also liked talking to me because I'm not really among the feeler type of INFJs. Having high cognitive ability makes me balance between my rational and emotional side. Similarly, I found this INTJ from another country. It's been almost 570+ days. Although we had a long break due to many reasons, we started talking again. She is 19 INTJ 3w4.

I like her worldview and how rationally and logically she brings things up from time to time. As for me, I'm not very touchy-feely and often get overwhelmed by constant calls and messages. I asked her to message me only during the night or anytime when she is absolutely free to talk to me. I even asked her to create a schedule because I'm on vacation, so I'm flexible throughout the day. She says that we are super excited to talk to me, but when I message her, after a few seconds she is gone, which I don't like , Considering what she has gone through childhood makes me feel more love towards her.

She also doesn't want me to worry about her much, which isn't possible for me at all. She is my love, and I do care about her. So similarly, this previous evening we talked about how we could bring predictability and consistency to the way we talk, and we came to the conclusion that she is free at night time.

The next day was her birthday, which is today. I had planned to give her a website that I made for her. I believe no one has ever made something like that for birthday, I wanted to watch her reaction at 12:00, while I am on call. So I waited for that time. I even had a plan to call her, but I didn't call her without asking first, so I waited because we have a 1.5-hour time difference. Since she had a fever, I thought she must be feeling dizzy or something. Although she previously explained to me that she still wants to talk to me even when feeling dizzy, I thought it was fine.

But by this time, it had already been 12 hours without us talking to each other. Now it's been 28 hours since we last talked. It hurts more because it's her birthday, and I wanted to see her happy. I don't know if her fever got worse or something, but wouldn't people at least tell their partner how they are doing if they were in a relationship? No matter how ill you are? Especially when you know that person cares about you a lot?

I am really angry and trying to cool down right now. I always said, "Be upfront. Don't keep things in your head," because I know she hides a lot.

Let's see where it goes....

After watching and reading a bit about Raskolnikov and the Underground Man, I had started relating to these characters from some unknown places within myself like not completely but a lot actually, maybe it will help me to go into some dark place of mind, I had already watched videos on them before too, and sadly, I relate with them. Because I myself write poems, aphorisms, and countless times I have found myself writing very similar things to what old-era philosophers and people in psychology and writers had written, whether it’s Dostoevsky, Nietzsche, Carl Jung, or Arthur Schopenhauer or anyone, maybe it's because of Inductive reasoning that I have got or something else, it's somewhat easier for me write something based on some observations. I am not saying I am great as they are, nevertheless experience that I have written and observed was fine too, I wanna know about you people too, How you felt ? What's something you wanna tell me before reading this ?

So let’s see where it goes. I am afraid these books might harm me more than help me too, but let’s see...but also excited about how it's going to be..🤞

Although I was expecting it to be more philosophical, it nevertheless turned out to be a satisfactory read, given the fact that it simply felt like home to me. I had often pondered over the same concerns and issues, not because I had read them somewhere, but because I had observed enough on my own to conclude what is right and what is not. I could write an entire piece myself, and I have explained to many people why I am an atheist. It definitely requires courage to be one, because it does not make life easier, but rather harder. Depending on yourself instead of relying on an external agency like God shows how capable you are on your own, whether mentally or otherwise. I would rather depend on myself than cry before a non-existent entity. I also understood why he spoke so much about vanity, because I feel it deeply too. I have often included such ideas in my aphorisms and poems as well.

Based on my understanding, I would like to write something on religion.

>“Religion reflects the deprivation born from human selfishness and weakness that they don't wanna admit”

and the below text is from the book itself."

It is necessary for every person who stands for progress to criticise every tenet of old beliefs. Item by item he has to challenge the efficacy of old faith. He has to analyse and understand all the details. If after rigorous reasoning, one is led to believe in any theory of philosophy, his faith is appreciated. His reasoning may be mistaken and even fallacious. But there is chance that he will be corrected because Reason is the guiding principle of his life. But belief, I should say blind belief is disastrous. It deprives a man of his understanding power and makes him reactionary.
