I want to deposit cash onto my chime card a process I’ve done a bazillion times in $500 increments once a day on my way to work, but it’s annoying to only be able to do $500 a day which is the limit both my local Walgreens and Walmart say I can deposit at once on my card. Walgreens specifically said one deposit a day, but the app says I can deposit $3,000 a day. It also says Walgreens and Walmart will let me deposit $1,000 at a time if I swipe my card. Neither will. I know I won’t know until I try, but has anyone run into this. If I go to Walmart and Walgreens on the same day can I deposit $500 at each?

A few weeks back I got an email about account info changing on my appleid on an email I do not use for my Apple account. I ignored it assuming it was spam until they became more frequent, so I did some digging and they are legit. An email came in about verifying 2 factor ID that went to a number that wasn’t mine. I went in and changed the password and the 2 factor and tried to delete the account, but I can’t because whoever hacked my account claimed a gift card on it so there’s a $70 balance that support says I need to login and spend. I’m hesitant to do this as it seems like someone may have stolen an account that from what I can tell I made for my first IPod in like 2010 and is using it to launder their scam cards into a ChatGPT subscription (the only subscription).

But I can’t delete this account until the balance is zero. Anyone run into this? Is my best bet just buying myself a few AirTags and deleting the account? Leave it with the changed password and 2 factor to gather dust? Any other ideas?

I’m 4 days into healing a second degree thermal/chemical burn on my arm. Went to the burn clinic yesterday and was given silvadene to use (was using bacitracin and man does the silvadene burn). Now when I change my bandages, the drainage is a creamy yellow color. I’m assuming this is the normal drainage mixed with the silvadene as the wound bed isn’t more inflamed or infected looking. Guess I’m just looking for reassurance from others that this is normal. I can post pictures after tomorrow’s dressing change.

I got a call from my PO today saying they applied for early release and it was approved by the judge. I’m awaiting a copy of the court order which should be here within the next week. I’m thrilled.

But, I had no idea they even applied for early release. Is this common? For context: I’ve finished about 1.5 years out of 2. No violations or dirty UAs. I have been on low risk for the past 13 months and talked so infrequently to my PO (1 check in during the past year and no UAs in that time) that I didn’t see the benefit in bothering to ask to get off early if they didn’t bring it up. Apparently they didn’t see the benefit in bringing it up when they could just petition the judge without me knowing.

So for Feds, apparently early release can be as easy as live your life and wait for them to just kick you off. 😂

A friend of a friend is getting released out of USP Hazelton to a halfway house at the end of the month. His mother recently got some sort of newsletter saying inmates are not being given their property on release. We are doing our best to help be a resource to her but she does have some memory issues and is a bit gullible to misinformation. My understanding is that unless his property is contraband they cannot keep it. Is it possible for them to hold his possessions for any period of time? She’s worried he will have no change of clothes or food on the day and a half bus ride. I know they at least give a meal stipend when they release them.

Probably not the usual question for this community, but I’m hoping someone can help me solve this riddle.

My BF was in federal prison (released about 3 years ago) and was quite the prison chef. He likes recreating his favorite foods on the outside for me and his coworkers. We’ve searched every local ethnic food store for hot peppers in oil and cannot find it. Finally today he heard from an old buddy that’s still locked up and we got the brand (FreshStart), but googling gives me nothing.

I also did federal time and remember the peppers but I keep hitting dead ends trying to find a place to buy them. Anyone remember these? Know who sells them?

(And for the curious we are both now happy, sober, employed and on the up and up. Our biggest problem is tracking down these darn peppers and me mocking prison food because we aren’t in prison anymore and no one in or out of prison should eat mackerel. Also any hints on mackerel that is actually boneless and isn’t super expensive…? We can’t find the packets like they have on commissary.)
