Is there really strong evidence of Domesticated Horses in Early and Mature Harappan Period?
Recently I saw a thread in which an OIT grifter was claiming on the basis of this paper (not even peer reviewed btw) that Domesticated Horse i.e., Equus Ferus Caballus remains were found even in Pre-Harappan to Early Harappan Period by various notable archaeologists. On a closer scrutiny I found all the citations on this given paper were from 1900s to 1960s giving plausibility to my suspicion that they may all be outdated by now, being superseded by new evidences and analysis. Also the author cites Talageri, Danino and Subash Kak who are notorious for historical revisionisms and are not supported by mainstream historical consensus, so this adds to my intuition that the paper maybe a farce. Remarkably enough, the original commentator said to me that even Michael Witzel contends that IVC had domesticated Horses. The paper also seemingly counters the article by Meadow & Patel that scrutinizes the findings of horse remains in Surkotada being corroborated by Late Prof. Bökönyi.
In light of a major genetic study by Librado et al.(2024) In Nature, are the above Paper's findings automatically dismantled? Or is there a much bigger picture that I am missing? I am not highly well versed in genetics so I could not scrutinise the archaegenetic analysis in the above paper.
Can someone please help me with this question? Also suggestions of some peer reviewed articles, monographs or books on this subject are highly welcomed.
Need Help regarding NIOS admissions
So My brother failed his 9th grade examinations this year. Now at first his school counselor said that he can directly give 10th grade public examination from the NIOS board and then take admission in 11th grade in the CBSE board.
But today when my mother went to the NIOS officials for his admissions they said that only those students who have failed 9th grade twice in a row can take these admissions and after passing out from 10th grade in NIOS he has to directly take admission in 12th grade in NIOS and he cannot take admission in 11th grade in CBSE.
Is this factually true? I have tried contacting the school counselor for this issue but he has probably taken a leave and is out of reach.
Can anybody help me out? Preferably those whose close relatives were NIOS passouts.
