MRCPI IMAGE QUESTIONS

Hey guys. I just needed some guidance on the image questions that show up on MRCPI GM part 1 pretty scared regarding them. Read somewhere that stuff like pontine haemorrhages / spondylolisthesis came up. I just wanted to know that whats the level if difficult of these questions and wether they give some history that makes the diagnosis easier? How

Really need some advice here.

I have posted about this time and time again, and for some reason, no one is replying or offering any guidance. I really need some actual advice here because I have to pass in this upcoming attempt, and delaying the exam is simply not an option for me.

I’ve been grinding through Pastest, and I am consistently hitting 70-75% on the past papers. The problem is, I cannot break past that 75% mark no matter what I do. I still have some past papers left to practice, but I’m incredibly frustrated and stressed out by this score plateau.

Can someone please give me a straight answer? Is a 70-75% average on Pastest past papers enough to confidently clear the actual MRCPI? If not, what is the safe target score I should be aiming for to know I won't fail?

Any recommendations on how to bump my score, or just a realistic gauge of where I stand right now, would be incredibly helpful. Please don't just scroll past this time.

Pastest Past papers

Hello everyone. Im going to give the MRCPI GM part 1 on 20th August. I wanted to ask everyone about how much should i be scoring on the pastest past papers? And are they very useful for ireland exam. Some seniors of mine have been discouraging me (or maybe giving a reality check) that the irish paper is very different and these papers don’t resemble the actually irish exam because they barely give any clues in the question stem, maybe 2-3. Can anyone else please shed some light on this? And how much should i aim for to know that I’m ready for the exam and confident enough.
I could really really use some guidance. (I scored 74 on my recent past paper)

MRCPI

Planning to give MRCPI GM part 1. Im a fresh graduate and ive been preparing very slowly for this examination. Only recent i picked up my pace. My exam is in august 20th and i roughly have some 2-3 minor systems left including clinical sciences. Im doing bmj +/- some pastest mcqs. Altho on bmj i barely ever get above 70. My average is 60-65% in the systems i do. I want to know if thats a bad sign?

Also i dont think i’ll even have time to complete the question bank at the end. Some advice for me? Feeling like im going in blind

My cat ate a string (30cm almost)

Hey. My cat is 6 years old. About 6 hours ago she ate a stretchable string that attached to a cat toy. I wasnt sure if she ate it or just broke it off. Later she vomited alot and i took her to the vet. The vet is someone my friends trust. He did an abdominal USG and told us that we need to observe the cat for signs of distress because she might need surgery (the string was visible in her stomach and her intestine causing some inflammation) he prescribed us some laxative and told us that more often than not she will pass it in her stool. Im worried sick because shes my only cat and im really attached to her. I just want to know if its a life and death situation and will my baby survive. I will keep observing her but i want to know if peoples cat survive with such a situation and surgery isnnot that big a problem. P.s my cat is acting normal rn shes grooming herself and eating her treats as usual
