Results

First of all, I'd like to start off by saying, Congratulations to everyone who was able to endure such a long and hellish journey. I'm glad we were able to reach the finish line, and I'm sure most of you got the grades you desired. To those who didn't, it's alright. Not everything goes as planned. This was Allah's plan, after all, so have faith in him because I know he has something good waiting for all of us, which is why we should be patient.

Now, the real reason I'm writing this is because when I joined this community, I thought it was a safe place to let out our vulnerabilities and not feel embarrassed by them in the slightest.

But from yesterday, all I've seen that most people were very ungrateful. I thought that when the results were out, everyone would stay humble and comfort those who needed it.

Instead, what surprised me was that those who got C's and D's and needed the reassurance were the ones reassuring the people who got A*'s and A's.

For example, I have a friend group of four people, including me. Friend A and I got the same results (average results, where we both got D and were pretty sad about it), but instead of us being comforted, we had to comfort our other two friends (One of them got 4 A*, 1 A and 2 B. The other got 6 A and 1B) who genuinely did well, and both Friend A and I were really happy. But they heavily disappointed me by saying they did very bad and were angry with their results.

And they were saying things like "imagine having a B.". "I'm so dissapointed,"

It's okay to have expectations and be sad because they weren't fulfilled. But it doesn't excuse the fact that you can rub your results in front of people who got worse than you. They were mocking about getting a B, where I got 3 B, and I was genuinely happy with it until they said that

Before you begin defending yourself by saying we come from poor backgrounds and our parents worked hard for the olvl registration money, buddy, I'm also in the same situation. You don't see me whining now, do you? I know I disappointed my parents, and that's my cross to bear. And my friends aren't poor, there are like hella rich people

Trust me, I cried for two hours after seeing the D and don't come here saying I didn't work for it because I fricking worked my butt off for it.

It's genuinely sad to see the toppers not having the basic humbleness installed in them and were arrogant about it underneath. We get it. You guys got A's and A*'s, and congrats to you , but if you had posted your results by saying something like "Alhamdulillah got my desired results" and then gave comforting reassurance to people who got less, maybe I wouldn't have been this mad but no, yall posted your results saying "Should I get a retake?" Yea mate, go for it, waste your money. "My results are really bad." they're so bad that harvard University has blacklisted your name

But to those who were just happy sharing their A's and A*'s and weren't arrogant about it underneath. CONGRATULATIONS TO YALL, YALL DESERVE IT.

I'd like to end this by saying. I'm sorry if I was rude and harsh. But I'm not in the slightest bit sorry if you got offended, because if you were offended, you're one of those people.

Advice

Heyyy, since I've been done with olevels and was bored, I decided to dye my hair to cherry cola red or wine red. I've added pics of the reference colour that I'm aiming for and my own hair. My hair is fully black and at ends slightly brown, which is only visible under the sun. I've heard from some people that red doesn't show on black hair, and I really don't want to waste my money if that's true, since I don't plan to bleach my hair. I'm planning to use box dyes, for example, garnier or loreal like that, so if you're a person who has dyed their hair and with the same hair as mine I'd appreciate if you could share you advice and recommendations

Help

I have natural dark black hair and wish to dye it either blue or cherry cola red. Will the colour show on my hair? I'm planning to use garnier hair dye. Any recommendations are appreciated. Also, I wish not to bleach my hair, so box dyes would be appropriate

Need help

Heyy guys, first of all, I'd like to start off by saying thank you for your recommendation in my last post about perfume, I really appreciated all of you taking your time and helping a girl out💗

And once again, I need your suggestions and advice on some topic, since my olvls are ending and I have a lot of time on my hand I'd like to use it to do stuff and fix my day to day life.

  1. Can yall recommend to me some good budget friendly sunscream (500-1000 tk). Doesn't matter if it's whitecast or not. I have oily/combination skin

2)Is there any physical course I can take to learn coding, graphics designing, presentation, or anything related to that in mirpur.

3)I heard Korean Skincare is really good, so I was wondering, for oily/combination skin, which one is better? Anua or joseon. I wish to buy toner, moisturiser, and cleanser

Thank you in advance

I'm very happy to all the people whose add maths paper went well

But genuinely speaking, mine went shit, and seeing how yall did good has demotivated me sm, I cried for an hour straight. I don't have the energy to even study for phy p4 or Cs p2.

It's frustrating despite working so hard. There hasn't been a moment where I could confidently say, "Alhamdulillah, my exam went well." In each paper, not only did I make silly and dumb mistakes but lost more than 10 marks.

I didn't even aim for an A*, I just wanted an A or B. But now, even that feels impossible.

At times, I feel like it's pointless to pray. I've made Dua and prayer to Allah asking for the same thing for 2 years, and it never happened, so what's the point of praying to him and asking that I get good grades.

Worst of all is, my parents never planned me, so ultimately, I was a mistake for them (they didn't want a second child). They do say this from time to time, in a joking manner or maybe literally as well, including my sister.

The fact that I am failing them so hard just truly means I was born to be a mistake, maybe. It's hard, especially when you have a sibling who has A* in every subject and you have to carry those expectations

She's doing good in Uni, which is 10 times harder than olevel, and here I'm just struggling with the simplest of task.

I just wish they hadn't conceived me, or I had died as a baby

Or I wish Allah made that one thing halal..

You guys don't have to reply to this, I just wanted to write my feelings down, that's all. If you want, you're free to make fun of me. At this point, I deserve it

I'll pray (even tho it doesn't work) that yall pass with A*

Need suggestions

Can yall suggest me an affordable perfume for everyday wear? Will prefer it if it's not too strong or aggressive, also not too mild as well.

Extra info: Would love if the smell gives off cocoa or vanilla smell, but it's also completely fine if it doesn't.

Forgot to mention, I need female perfume/mist/bodyspray suggestion

I was today years old when I finally understood what O1, O2, and O3 are. I didn't know most of yall gave your exams in two sittings. In my country we give our board exams in one sitting. Basically all the subjects in O3🥲

I am 17 years old and am going to turn 18 soon. My insecurity is my facial hair, especially around the upper part of my lips, which makes it look like a slight moustache.

Now the thing is, I want to shave my facial and neck hair so that I have a smoother base for skincare and makeup. But so many people around me, especially my mom, say that once you shave your facial hair, they grow back thicker. Is this true? As this is the only thing holding me back. For clarity, I am South Asian, specifically from Bangladesh.

Would really love all your advice and guidance and better options on this matter!

Thank you in advance!
