Razer Scammed me out of my PC because It was bought second-hand... What do I do?
I’m new to Reddit and English isn’t my first language, so I’m writing this with the help of AI. I’ll keep it short.
I bought a second-hand Razer Blade 16. The seller provided the original proof of purchase, and I also have the previous owner’s RMA/service report showing that Razer had already repaired this exact laptop.
The laptop developed the same trackpad issues again, so I contacted Razer support.
At first, everything went perfectly. Support approved the RMA, created the shipping label, told me to send the laptop to their repair center in Germany (At the time of starting the RMA, I was in the US for an internship; my actual residence is in France, and that's where the pc was bought initially), and even told me the repair would take around 3-5 business days after receiving it. I shipped it using the instructions they gave me.
Then things went downhill.
The package apparently got stuck with FedEx. Razer told me they were investigating it and kept telling me to wait all whilst they kept spamming FedEx tickets under my name and email without ever responding to them or picking back up the previous ticket (to the point where FedEx directly emailed me to stop doing so, even if it wasn't me). This went on for weeks.
And today, after weeks of waiting, Razer suddenly CLOSED my case and accused me of providing falsified or doctored information.
Their reason? Something apparently didn't match their records regarding the product registration, proof of purchase, or address information.
I explicitly told them from the beginning that I bought the laptop SECOND-HAND. I provided the original proof of purchase and the previous owner's RMA report.
I genuinely don't understand how buying a second-hand product suddenly makes me a fraudster.
What makes this even worse is that they already approved the RMA, gave me a shipping label, accepted the laptop into their process, and had me send the damn thing away.
Now I'm left without my laptop, and apparently I'm the one being treated like I did something wrong.
I have all the support conversations, documents, photos, and RMA information saved.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with Razer? What can I do from here?
