On campus job interviews

I really need an on campus job right now but the odds are completely stacked against me. I applied to 9 on campus positions so far and 2 of them flat out didn't select me, I got interviewed for 2 student assistant positions and just got rejected from one and the other position was reposted. I have a good resume and cover letter but I feel like I don't do well enough in interviews to be hired on the spot. I just always get hit with the "I'll get back to you" at the end but I just feel like everytime that happens the chances of me being selected are none. What do you guys do to get an on campus job especially if you're an international student? My DSO told me it's fine to apply to on campus jobs and be offered one before the semester starts.

Polymarket and Kalshi is still accessible in blocked regions if you use Mullvad Browser (BUT DON'T BREAK THE LAW/TOS)

I don't bet on prediction markets, but I still look at Polymarket from time to time as an indicator, mostly since the 2024 US presidential election. Today I just found out that Polymarket and Kalshi are banned in my country (Romania), but if you go to Polymarket or Kalshi through Mullvad browser, you can still browse the website just fine, somehow. Just wanted to point this out.

Nu mi-a placut niciodata franceza si am avut numai 5 si 6 in gimnaziu.

I'm from Europe, and I was looking into opening a US bank account as a non-resident without going to the US. The best option in my case is to get a US virtual address from Anytime Mailbox or another provider and a US phone number (which I already have through Tello). I know that banks don't accept CMRAs. I found a list online with Non-CMRA virtual addresses, and I am looking for a virtual address in Florida, but the thing is that even if some addresses are non-CMRA, they still have a Commercial RDI. I want to open a personal checking account and want an address that has check deposits and is also accepted by banks. I want to know if and what banks can accept non-CMRA commercial RDI addresses, or if I should just get a virtual address in another state that is both non-CMRA and residential RDI.

I went to the Mpower Financing eligible schools page and now almost every school has a "Only nursing, MD, and DDS programs are eligible" note. I got accepted at Florida Atlantic University for a Bachelor's in Computer Science as a transfer student with 2 years left, and on their page about the school, they still list Computer Science as one of the eligible programs. I don't get why they have this discrepancy since that wasn't the case until recently.

These are the best photos I took in Athens in chronological order. I stayed in Athens from June 24 to July 11, 2025. I went to a lot of places in Athens, but these are just some of the photos I took while I was there. I stayed at two Airbnbs, one in Kypseli and another in Omonia. The latter had a view right across from the Ministry of Health building on the 8th floor (and yes, I did see government workers going in and out of the building, and also saw them working at the office). I was able to see a lot of the central part of Athens and its surroundings, both the good and bad parts of the city. One place I wish I had gone to was the mountains just outside the city, but maybe for another time.

Just thought I'd share this here since I haven't seen anyone else post a Romanian IDP before. The government recently started issuing IDPs for 40 lei (8 euros). Before this, IDPs in Romania were only issued by a private company called Automobil Clubul Roman (ACR), and it cost a fortune to get one (around 300 euros), so many people simply skipped getting one. I don't have any passport stamps in my passport to show because I haven't traveled outside the EU yet, although I've had my passport since 2022 and also have valid Canadian and UK ETAs.

As of today, Romania still issues non-biometric ID cards in the new ID1 format, but they're not valid for travel abroad (I have a passport anyway). The only differences are that the non-eID has the permanent address written on the back and no EU flag in the top left corner (and no chip of course), unlike the eID variant, otherwise they're the same.
