I always feel like I delay my power spikes because the damage you get from statikk shiv is kinda lackluster. Plus its build path isn’t that great.

Compared to Hexoptics, I feel like I spike more, and get the added lifesteal late game from building crit.

I’ve been tear + pickaxe or tear + cull first back and building Hexoptics as my first legendary item.

From there I like to finish manamune, but could build RFC or IE depending on game state.

From there, last whisper, QSS, shield now, Maw, GA.

I’ve been feeling really good. You definitely are way squishier and you don’t get the little bonus with your Q AP scaling, but I’ve been enjoying crit + Muramana Senna a lot lately, forgoing Statikk and BC entirely.

For context, I’ve been getting back into league after not playing for like 4 years (I quit the game right around the time Renata Glasc was released). This post is about playing bruiser J4 in the Jungle.

I’ve been getting back into League, and while I never really jungled much when I was playing religiously, I’ve been enjoying it a ton, and by extension, re-falling in love with Jarvan IV.

I understand why, when going bruiser over assassin, everyone rushes Sundered Sky. It’s an insanely good item just flat out. However, even though Q gives decent AOE, I’ve never been in love with J4’s clear speed, especially camps like raptors and wolves.

In my games, just playing normals, I’ve been first backing Tiamat (or just long swords if need be), and then building Sundered Sky. I’ve had decent success with it, but I feel like everywhere I look people go Sundered into Black Cleaver.

I love the feeling of titanic, it synergizes well with the HP scalings on Sundered, Sterak’s/Protoplasm, AND Black Cleaver if you build it 3rd. The auto reset feels great after e-q-aa before ulting, adds a little aoe, and you’re still beefy.

I understand Black Cleaver is great with armor shred, the same amount of AD, move speed, and still decent tank stats with 400 hp, though am I hurting myself a bit by delaying or forgoing Black Cleaver in general?

Does anyone else routinely fit Titanic into their builds when playing bruiser J4?

Curious to hear others’ thoughts on the matter, and/or if there’s a better way to itemize it.

Instead of “The Rookie, but it’s a federal agency instead of local police,” or “The Rookie, but now it’s cold and rainy instead of sunny and dry ,” I want to see a legal dramedy that’s all about Wesley and Del Monte working together to run and expand their firm.

I love the chemistry their actors have, and I think we got a taste of what has the potential to be a real fun pairing with them working together as defense attorneys.

Not to mention, I often felt in season 8 that whatever Wesley was doing was far more interesting than whatever BS Monica was up to.

Obviously it’s immature to write off The Rookie: North before it ever airs, and maybe it turns out to be good, but the premise of the Rookie was never what made it that compelling. Sure, it was when John actually WAS a rookie, but he hasn’t been a rookie for how long now? The show is carried far more by how compelling, interesting, and well-written their characters are, even 8 seasons in, far more than the intense action and watered-down copaganda.

Instead of just doing the same premise but in a different region, why not take and expand a popular character who’s interesting and well-written (for the most part), with stories that often intersect with the LAPD, but we get to see and learn more from their side of things, including like what if Wesley wants to challenge Vivian when she’s up for re-election again?

Maybe I just like legal stories, and maybe Wesley is far too close to the main story to have his own show, but if he doesn’t get his own show, I at least am hoping for more of him and Del Monte in season 9. 2027 is a long way away.

Pretty much as the title says.

I am the commissioner of a fantasy football league where half of the guys are not from the QC, but we’re all getting together in June to host our dynasty league’s rookie draft.

We’ll basically be larping, dressed to the 9s, and making a little ceremony out of it over beer.

As commish, I’m tasked with trying to figure out where we should host the damn thing, and Google hasn’t been too helpful thus far.

The criteria are as follows:

1. Be in downtown Moline. We’re gonna bar hop a little after, so within walking distance at least of Broken Saddle and Take Cover would be ideal.

2. Decent food and cheap(ish) beer. We’ll likely have dinner and a couple drinks while we’re doing our thing.

3. A small(ish) event space that’s private enough to LARP the NFL draft with our dynasty rookies, but isn’t so large as there will only be 10 of us, maybe 12-15 if some mutual friends not involved with the league want to come out with us.

I know the River House has an event space, and I love their food and drinks, but their website says the space can fit considerably more than what we would need. I’m open to pretty much any recommendation as long as it’s downtown Moline, cheapish, and has the space!
