So today I get the mail. In the mail was a medical lab envelope and I opened because I take care of paying the bills. As I read it I’m confused as none of it had been applied to insurance so it was a $400 plus bill. Then I notice it has our address but not our name. Finally, I reread the name. It was someone that dated our teen. They are still friends but obviously my wife and I aren’t fans after the way the dumping went down.

I go online and check. It’s for getting tested for STDs. Our teen and my wife had been traveling together so when they got home I asked if the bill was for the ex? I’m told yes and that they told the ex that they said to use our address so that their parents didn’t find out (hence the no insurance).

We said we weren’t going to tell the ex’s parents. But our teen asked, “Why did you open it?” I explained but our kiddo asked, “Why did we hate the ex so much?”, with weeping eyes. I made a comment if the ex didn’t like the fact I opened it, they can certainly come over and discuss the “invasion of privacy”. My teen says the ex doesn’t like us because we bad mouthed them….yes…yes….when my kiddo came in bawling that they got dumped over texting….I did get a bit protective.

Now, my teen is angry at me. Explain to me why I am the one at fault here?

So....I kinda pride myself on knowing the code just a tad. However, this has to be a first for me. The contractor has tried to call for final inspection now for about two months. Every time ...and I do mean EVERY time the guy comes out...he decides to add 2-6 new infringements. Client is about ready to pull out their hair as the red tags keep going up. When the last items got fixed...they took down the old red tags and put new one's up. Yes, that's right...new.

Today however....was a first in my career.

The red tag today....the raised braille on the signage was too short. (blink...blink....blink...huh?). The signage, from a nationally known sign company...is too short.

Frankly....I am about ready to give up. Not sure how he measured that, but I am about over it with this county.

Hi there. I am stumped. No matter what I do I cannot turn off CC. If I’m watching a show I go to the CC and click it off. It stays on. When I go to settings it says it’s off. I frankly I’m about ready to give up. Thoughts and helpful ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

EDIT: So, I went in and found CC was turned on in HBO Max, Netflix and Disney+. Turned them all off. Went back to Apple TV and turned off CC in settings. Works perfectly now. Thank you all!!

I received an email offer for a QB loan for my business. Initially it said I was prequalified for $20K. I thought this was interesting to see what a 1-man consulting firm could obtain. Yeah. Damn near did a spit take with my coffee. $30k. The killer…..32.99% interest. Wow.
