Got a new HR Core and it's very overwhelming

So I received my Core yesterday and it's honestly very overwhelming. Suddenly I've got like hundrets of pedals and amps and IRs at my literal finger (or toe) tips and it feels very overwhelming because I am too inexperienced to actually model a tone that I like, it's more a trial and error, where the "error" happens a loooot more often. In the presets that are shipped with the device, there are a few cool tones, but not really a high gain modern metal tone that I like, and I have yet to try out dozens of rigs people have uploaded that contain the term "modern metal", the few ones that I did try sound ass.

Also: Is there an option to have the audio at the 6.8mm jack go through the IR sim in my rig and the 3 Pin output to bypass the IR? Because I'm playing through the power amp section of my katana 50 which is not an FRFR, bur for playing into my interface I want it to go through an IR.

[Request] Perceived volume of a 150W guitar amp with an 8x12 cab

In another subreddit, someone "recommended" a triple Recrifier amp (which is available with 150W) with an 8x12 cab would be the perfect setup for a rental unit with thin walls. Now I know sound (dB) does scale logarithmically, but I have no idea how to calculate that. Now let's say we have a 150W power amp section with a high gain setting, connected to a passive 8x12 (which is 8 12 inch speakers) cab, how loud would that get and what could we compare that to in terms of perceived loudness?

PC won't fully turn off, but only sometimes

So since switching to CachyOS which I love, I have the issue that sometimes, my PC won't actually turn off. The OS and Kernel will shut down (I've been told when caps key doesn't light up anymore the kernel is truly unloaded and shutdown) but the computer itself will keep running, and the only way to turn it off is by holding the power button.

I am using the non-lts kernel, KDE as a DE, systemd-boot and I have made sure that hibernate in the UEFI is turned off. I cannot reliably recreate the issue, it happens sometimes, and sometimes it shuts off perfectly fine. It does not have to do with updates (sometimes I pacman -Syu before turning off, sometimes not, seems not to be related to the issue). Cachy is on a different physical drive than Windows (which I have not used in months), so that should also not interfere.

I've seen other posts of people not having a shutdown option in their DE, or the shutdown command not doing anything, that is not my issue, the OS shuts down perfectly fine every time.

Does someone have an idea what else it could be?

How neutral is the Power-Amp of a Katana 50 Gen 3?

I'm about to buy a HeadRush Core, which would replace my entire pedal board, preamp and IR. Now the Katana has a power amp input jack. I was thinking about using this as a speaker for the headrush, but for this it should be (or be possible to be set up) as neutral sounding as possible.

So I'm currently playing on a Katana 50, but I'm planning to buy my first tube amp soon. It's gonna be something like a 6505, as I am playing metal with high gain. Now the walls in our flat are good, but even a 20W amp in a rental space will probably still be a problem. So I was looking at attenuators to turn the volume down a bit while still being able to push the tubes. I came across the Two Notes Torpedo Captor, which seems to be somewhat standard for this use case, and it's not too expensive. But I also saw the Rockboard RPA 100 which costs like 100.- less and even has a variable attenuation, in contrast to the captor which has fixed -20dB.

Now I don't know a whole lot about this kind of devices. A fixed attenuation seems like a downside, on the other hand the device has a lot more features like actually good cab sims etc. How do I decide on what to get?

First of all, I've played the clarinet for about 12 years, so I already have a very solid basis in breath control which I think is really important for singing in general. My vocal inspiration is Petri Lindroos, that's where I want to go with my voice.

Is it possible to safely learn everything through YouTube or is it almost necessary to consult an actual coach in a lesson setting every once in a while?
