my dog is my world
i have to admit: i used to look at dog parents sideways and even make fun of them in my head. “dog mommy”? what do you mean dog mommy? that’s not a child!
well, it all changed when i adopted my lab mix. he is literally my world. i didn’t expect to pour so much love, time, and money into him. he gets ANYTHING he wants. in the short 2 months that i’ve had him, i probably spent $2-3k on necessities for him.
he does not give me too many behavioral issues like chewing the furniture because he has a strict social schedule and plenty of toys/treats. i’ve been spending 70% of my free time with him. training, socializing, getting him used to various sounds and smells. he’s done so much progress!
it makes me very emotional to think that he could have gone to a different family where he would not get the same amount of attention.
i guess what i wanted to say is, i owe the dog parents i ridiculed in my head an apology. these truly are our fur babies. and i am so thankful that i get to experience life with my boy.
