On a scale of '1 to fucked', how Carat-Broke are you? I can NEVER, EVER seem to save any amount of Carats before the gacha urge hits me.

The amount of Carats that I refuse to save is utterly insane.....

At least the gacha was nice and decided to give me exactly 1 copy of both the X-Mas Air Groove and X-Mas Narita Brian Support Cards, so that's nice I guess..

My own damn fault for being impulsive, I guess.

Yucca Cane leaf tips yellowing/browning in a hot west window (Arizona)

Hi everyone, i'm currently kinda stuck. I'm TRYING to be a good plant-dad, and so i'm looking for a definitive answer on what is causing the leaves on my indoor Yucca Cane to decline.

The Issue here is that, over a month ago, I had moved my Yucca Cane from my dresser that was 9 feet away from my west facing window, to a shelf that is right next to the window. Recently, I removed a single leaf that had a large yellow band down the tip-middle area that had tiny dark speckles on it. They were not raises, nor did I feel anything when I ran my finger over them. However, now a neighboring leaf is starting to yellow, and again, it is fading from the tip downward with the same sort of spots.

It is an indoor plant in Arizona, sitting next to a west-facing window. The trunk is solid as a rock, so root rot is not my worry here, I assume.

It's currently potted in terracotta with Miracle-Gro Succulent Soil, and it has a functional drainage hole at the bottom about the size of a Nickle. I check the soil with a stick every other week. I only water it when the stick comes out dry with no soil sticking to it, and then I water it thoroughly until water flows out the bottom.

Currently, it sits slightly behind a tower fan that circulates the air in the room, but it isn't blasted by direct wind.

The Yucca currently has TWO new leaf spears in the center look bright green and healthy, but I want to stop this tip-yellowing before it ruins the rest of the leaves and becomes a problem that kills the plant.

Is this environmental heat stress from the window, or am I missing something with my watering?

Any advice is appreciated!

I have seen the light of LS

To preface, I gotta say that this is my 2nd MH game (1st was Rise). Usually I play Hammer, as I adore how much control over thee fight the knockout's give me (when the monster stands still and lets me bonk it's FACE!), but I've always wanted something else rather than just doing hammer all over.

Today I tried LS officially, and got my first successful tail-cut. THIS THING IS FAST, and building up the spirit gauge is FUN, not to mention it lets you do some of the best anime-type bullshit you'll ever see! The Focus Strike on a wound is also nutty.

Any further tips on improving LS AND Hammer? I've come to accept both as my weapons of choice.

I don't know what to think anymore. How do I save my Yucca Cane...?

I'm in shambles....and i'm a fool. I have been consulting AI for the better part of about a month or so to help me grow my Yucca Cane and take care of it. Initially, the Yucca was on my dresser, about 9 feet away from the heat of the west facing window of a home in Arizona. I consulted google to see if I should keep it there, and it told me to move it much closer, cause Yucca's love light. I thought okay, there's a shelf right in front of the window, and the blinds are automated, so I can have them shut in the hottest parts of the day.

Since then, for about 3-4 weeks, i've lost about one leaf every couple days, and it's gotten to the point where the Yucca is looking pretty damn sad.

Not all is doom and gloom though. The trunk is hard as a rock, there's a little green leaf on the side of the trunk, and there are two spears poking through the top. Last watering was on July 20th.

I'm at my wits end. How can I save this thing that i've...grown to love? (besides just moving it away from the window so it doesn't get scorched anymore)

Am I missing something?

I won't beat around the bush, I feel like i'm missing out on a lot of things in Derail Valley because I INTENTIONALLY do not crash the locomotives. I mostly stick with the starting diesel shunter, even though I have the licenses for every train in the game; because in my experience the DE2 has been reliable and consistent. Sometimes though, I come to this subreddit and find posts with titles like "Oops....." with MASSIVE wrecks and gouts of fire everywhere. It kinda just feels like i'm missing something by....playing the game correctly?

Hell, as much as I absolutely adore steam engines and think they are the COOLEST THINGS ON THIS PLANET, I am way too much of a nervous wreck to manage something like THAT without constant fear of it going boom in my face

So, am I missing something, or am I just fine and overanalyzing shit as per usual?

Say what you will about Kiwami 3, but i'm having a blast (and it's beautiful)!

In all fairness, I never played the original Yakuza 3, so I have 0 pre-conceived notion of what to expect, what's changed/not-changed or anything. So far though, I am enjoying it a lot. The combat is tight, fast, and feels GREAT.

Best part so far? Kiryu is still Kiryu.

(If I flaired this wrong, please let me know)

New little growth!

I got this Snake Plant like a month and a half ago, re-potted it in Succulent soil, and now today i've found this little guy! I'm so excited, i'm actually growing something and it's not dying instantly!

Grow, little leaf! YOU CAN DO IT :3

Do I have a right to be annoyed, or am I being too harsh?

So, an old friend and myself have been doing a Fate-series inspired rp. I'm a pretty consistently 2-paragraph post guy, and I write what I feel are posts that are detailed and react well to the scenery/what's happening, because I like it when my characters feel like they exist in the world.

However, my friend, throughout the rp thus far, has been posting stuff that is usually no longer than a single sentence, hell his most recent post was 8 words long that didn't really do much at all. It's seriously annoying me at this point, because I feel like i'm carrying the rp on my shoulders, and they're starting to hurt. I've written out a message I want to send to him that I think is sternly worded enough. Again, Do I have a right to be annoyed, or am I being too harsh? Tell me what you guys think:
------------------------------
Hey, I need to be honest about something. In our RP's, I really need you to give me more to work with in your replies. I'm NOT asking you to match my post length or write exactly like I do, but when I write a full scene and the response I get is 8. WORDS. LONG. It makes me feel like I'm carrying almost the entire RP on my shoulders.

I need your characters to react to what I write. Have them notice things, move, think, question something, respond to details, or introduce something of their own. Give me hooks that I can react to too. Right now I feel like I'm constantly creating the setting, the conversation, the action, and the next direction of the scene by myself.

I know what this must sound like, but I swear, i'm not trying to tell you that you have to write like me. I genuinely want this RP to be enjoyable for both of us, especially because it's our first one we've done in a long time; but I need more substance from your posts, because I'm getting tired trying to keep every scene moving.
-------------------------------
Edit: I should mention, I have already brought up the lack of reactions and initiative with him once, and he agreed it was something he needed to work on. Thus far though, he doesn't seem to be holding true to "Working on it".

I'm out

I'm not feeling it. Even when I was training my oshi's and ignored the meta and tried to doing things for fun in the game, I never felt like I was doing it for fun, just like I was doing ace building business as usual.

Just feel like it's been unfun for a while, and I don't want to feel like i'm forcing myself to do something that's not bringing me joy anymore.

Take care 'yall, have fun on the field.

But I qualified for Group A. Never expected to, as I was barely winning races with utterly shit Uma's (atleast, shit Uma's by this Subreddits standards...)

How can I be better son to my dad?

First off, if you're a dad, Happy Fathers day!

Now then, I am a male one year away from 30, and my dad is turning 70 next year. I have no clue why, but I feel like everything I try to do to be a better son to the man I admire the most in my life is....pointless. I love him and appreciate him more than love and appreciate myself, but whatever I do never feels like enough. It all feels performative, like i've never meant any of it, even though I always do. I don't understand it and i'm sick of it.

How can I be better son to my father? I don't know how long I have left with him, and I just want to be the best I can be for him.

My 2nd S-Rank...has a very big problem.

First off, super happy that I got this result! Didn't expect to get another S so soon after my Vodka S-Rank. There is a problem.

I built her for Medium races, that was intentional (Yay Medium S!). Problem is that through the entire run, I got NO stamina recovery skills that she could use. I was hoping for Breath of Fresh Air from the Tosen Jordan card I borrowed, but that did not end up coming my way by the time that I reached the end of the run.

Oh well. Proud of her, but I can almost certainly do better! 2nd Screenshot is the cards I used for the run. If anyone has suggestions for what to do so I can fix this Nice Nature next run, that'd be appreciated

Well that'll help.

I usually don't get this lucky on MANT. For being the first summer though, i'll fuckin take it!

u/TwoShu — 4 months ago

Alright, hands up. Who's boned for the S.Maru and Tachyon cards?

How absolutely screwed are you for the release of S.Maru and Tachyon Support Banners?

I'd say i'm 100% screwed. I also have like 7 Support Card tickets, but even then, i'm absolutely screwed.

u/TwoShu — 4 months ago

Whether it's through luck or stats, a result like THAT is always satisfying.

In other news, I'm TRYING to get Agnes Tachyon to work in MANT, but she never seems to win many things (no I don't have the Fuji Kiseki thing active). Just thought i'd share what randomly happened at the Armina Kinen in Classic Year.

Oh yeah, it's BIG BRAIN TIME

It's Late October of Classic Year, and look at my Oshi getting all SMART.

Absolutely Umazing!

First houseplant! Tip of Snake Plant leaf is black.

So, first off: I’m in Arizona, figured I’d say that incase it’s important for any advice people give.

Second: This is my first plant of any kind, and so I’m trying to make this thing happy and keep it healthy. Today, I noticed that the tip of one of the leaves was black. I heard they don’t need to be watered every day, and that, because they’re succulents, they can go a week or so without water.

I’m confused what it could be, and I don’t want to have this thing get sick! I got this Snake Plant a week ago and watered it that same day, but not since.

It’s in my room on the west side of the house, so it gets like 3 or 4 hours of bright light, with the rest of the day being dim to moderate light.

I’ve just noticed a weird amount of posts that kind of have a tone of being ‘Holier than thou’, saying utterly stupid shit like: “If you’re not F2P and have 80 MLB SSR cards you’re bad.”.

I…expected better from this community? Why are we arguing over who fuckin planned 4 years ahead and putting down who didn’t? Why argue over having all of the meta SSR cards??? I thought we were all here cause we loved anime horse girls?

What’s the point…?

After lots of trial and error (and asking you guys what i'm doing wrong), I finally trained some Uma's that have good stats, and are A+ in rank. This is the best of the ones I trained, Taiki Shuttle. I built her for being a Mile/Pace Chaser.

As the title says though, I feel like I did a lot....and also not enough. Feel like I could've done more to make her better. Any advice?
