Filament organization

ust curious how everyone organizes their filament and locates rolls when there are many to be found.

I had AI write an app for me to help assist me so I’m curious if anyone else would be interested if I turned it into a mobile app…currently just a web app for myself.

App features:
Brand/color/material of filament
Database of known empty spool weights
Enter current weight and spool weight is deducted to give remaining filament weight
QR codes can be generated and read to pull up and locate spools faster…I bought a $25 Nelko printer from Amazon and use the app
Project section for tracking costs of waste and filament usage
Duplicate button to locate duplicate spools
Sorting function to sort by color/brand/material
Depletion button to remove spools from inventory
Ability to customize…light/dark mode, update outdated empty spool weights, label your storage area bins/cabinets/shelves/etc
Links to repurchase filament based on brand
Reorder reminders with the low threshold set by the user

This has worked very well for me with over 100 spools and 8 bins. I created QR codes for each bin, each , and the dryer. I can locate spools very quickly now

The plan is to make the app free to use. Is this something you think you may use? Are there other things you’d like to see in the app?

TIA

Would this be something anyone would be interested in?

Hello fellow AE shoppers.

So, I’m sure , like most of you, have positive and negative experiences with different AE stores. I’ve heard stores have a blacklist for customers, but there’s no way to blacklist a store. Many stores don’t have a name, just a series of numbers.

I know there are ratings on AE but I’ve also heard stores can have multiple fronts.

I’m trying to make a free web app where you can review your experience with a store, but adding the ability to search by store or category. The idea is to prevent from getting burned by poorly run stores. You would instantly be able to search a store name/number and see crowd sourced reviews for stores, not items.

Trying to weigh ratings of item quality/description, store communication, shipping speed, value.

Just trying to not get burned from stores I’m unfamiliar with and are only numbers so I can avoid shopping there again.

Should this limb come down

I had a pretty good sized limb blown down from a storm and I’m wondering if the remnants should be trimmed off as well or will it sprout again?

Need some parts help please

Trying to repair my A1 and just running into problem after problem and Bambu cs has been garbage. My printer has been down over a month.

Anyway, in replacing the th board and usb cable. Cable is done. While removing the th board, I ripped the filament sensor ribbon cable and accidentally pulled a wire from one of the wire harnesses that plugs into the board. After my internet research, I successfully removed the pin to re solder aaaaannd dropped it.

So my question is, does anyone know what size pin I would need to procure? It’s the wiring harness far right side on the th board closest to the eddy sensor wires.

Hopefully there is a brick and mortar store I can get to today. I am close to a Microcenter, but have never searched for items like this there.

TIA

trying to figure out how to price something

Hello,

I have a potential opportunity to bake some bulk sales for a pretty simple item with no license preventing sales.

The item is a simple bird spike strip to prevent nesting in areas unwanted. Having my gutters replaced today and asked the guy if he could add them on when installing. He said no problem and liked them so much he asked if I would be interested in selling as he said he's been in the industry 24 years with quite a few contacts.

He basically wants to try to be the middle man so he can make a buck as well.

One strip is 12g of PETG and takes 58min on an A1. I can fir 12 on a plate and that is 140.23g and 8h24min.

I don’t print a lot of PETG so have not taken advantage of bulk purchases yet. At quick glance I can get Sunlu PETG for $13/roll with an order of 6. That works out to .013 cents/g or .156 cents each. I was thinking of coming up with a price for ea, discount at 25, and discount at 50.

What are your thought on trying to get in the door for some sales?
