What are Biology major students doing with their degrees?

I'm interested in what you guys are doing with your biology degree. Applying/enrolled in med-school, taking a different path, regret the major or really glad you took it, easy to find jobs? Was the major difficult/worth it?

I'm curious as a new biology student myself

Federal work study

How can one find federal work study jobs on campus?? For those who have experienced them, would you recommend? Are they similar to a regular job/how are they different?

I’m planning on working as a research assistant for a biology lab but I’m not sure how I can find positions and if it’s recommended for a Bio major freshman

Hijabis on campus

For hijabis, what do y’all think about the treatment you receive on campus? How has your experience been? Have you ever been treated unfairly or been discriminated against by students, professors, staff? Just curious

Gen-Ed recs from Bio Majors?

Any bio major students who have recommendations for Gen-Ed’s? For reference, I like genetics, cell biology, and really just looking for a chill class that still relates to biology and not too heavy of a work load.

What’s the difference between CHEM132 and CHEM132C?

From what I read, CHEM132C is for new freshmen in the Biological Sciences major or Neuroscience major. When I googled it, it said it’s for Bio-Fire living learning program which I’m not in but I am a Biological Sciences major. I’ve been registering for CHEM132 but I just rechecked my orientation advisor’s notes and it said to register for CHEM132C. I’m wondering if that could be a mistake or if I should actually register for that course.

Terrapin commitment scholarship removed

After I got my state grants, my terrapin commitment scholarship was removed. I still need to pay lots out of pocket. I thought they would use excess funds to take out loans and work pay first and then decrease financial aid??

Does anyone have the same problem?
