Clues that you are prediabetic or diabetic but don’t know it.. even if you are not overweight!

When you:
- crave for sweet foods
- are constantly thirsty
- visit the bathroom often
- feel dizzy at times
Consult your GP. Prediabetes is an early warning sign that increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. It can cause you to lose your sight, a limb, develop fatty liver.

Lifestyle changes can help:
Avoid ultra-processed or sugary foods, take walks after a meal; pair proteins (eggs, cheese, avocado, yogurt, poultry, meat, fish, nuts etc) with carbohydrates (bread, rice, pasta, desserts, banana etc) to reduce sugar spikes in your blood.

Exercise daily. If you are sedentary, start with walking (10min bouts 3x per day). Build muscles through weight lifting - muscles help to move sugar from the blood into the muscles.

Not sleeping enough makes you want sugary, heavy foods. Try to stick to the same sleep and wake times (within 30 mins) for better sleep**.**

Fear of falling can steal more than your balance — it can steal your independence.

Avoiding exercise might feel safe, but it weakens muscles, thins bones, and actually raises your fall risk. That fear → inactivity → weakness cycle is a fast track to losing mobility.
Move a little every day — your future self will thank you.
