Made the trade

Didn’t get any interest trying to trade for a 2WD buggy, but I found someone willing to part with their B74.1 in exchange for my Typhon. Came with a bucket of spares, batteries, and an Tx/Rx. Can’t wait to take it to the track this weekend

I was taking apart my XB4C for maintenance…

And realized how cool this slipper assembly is. It disengages the front end under breaking, and is set to a specific point by the user. It’s a very clever design.

It’s amazing that this slipper assembly enables 4 wheel drive carpet racing. Without it carpet wheeler possibly wouldn’t exist.

And it’s completely mechanical, too.

I have picked on AE enough this week. How about a different brand?

Myself included, btw. 😁

How I thought upgrades worked when I first started racing with my B7

My buddy typo’d factory and I thought it was meme worthy.

I found a legitimate Lego defect. The tile has a missing stud, but it’s not a break. A quick search says their defect rate is 18 PPM. Pretty cool.

New XB2’26 Chassis!

Ran great the first time out. Switched from a B7. I think I have moved on from Associated on carpet.

I made a normalized gear ratio chart to visualize spur gear changes.

The lines cross at 3 and diverge in both directions from that point. The more you know.

This is the most consistent race I have had to date. It led to a P1 finish for that race, which was also a first.
