How to choose my future job title(s)?

I'm a current student nearing my graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Data Science. Most of my work experience comes from internships: I completed two in Quality Assurance and one in Strategic Information, all at the same company that specializes in real estate management. Additionally, I did a government internship as a Project Assistant and worked in my university's IT helpdesk through a work-study program. I also had a brief three-month online internship as a course creator. My first job was in fast food at Tim Hortons, where I worked for two years. I have also gained a lot of volunteer experience helping with Orientation Week.

As I approach the end of my degree, I am uncertain about which job titles to pursue, despite having a variety of experiences. I initially thought of roles such as Data Analyst or Data Scientist, but I don’t feel very confident in those areas. This uncertainty only grew more after I connected with an HR representative at my current company, who has helped me secure most of my internships. She is interested in what full-time positions I am looking for to assist me, and suggested I figure out which job titles I should look for.

For most of my post-secondary time, I just searched for any job to broaden what I could do and to have a source of income as a commuting student.

I realize that to determine my job search direction, I need to figure out which skills to focus on developing. Currently, my skill set includes Excel, dashboard creation, a decent foundation in coding, and various administrative tasks.

Where should I begin? Any and all advice would be great!

Change in Application Form Unavailable? (Fall 2026-Winter 2027 Application)

So I applied rather early, May 5th specifically, and I had overestimated my course load, putting it 80% when it was more like 40% (40% in Fall, 60% in Winter). I've been waiting for the form to be uploaded, but it still isn't available. Should I contact my Uni? (York University), or should I just wait?

I should mention that I have disability status, I know that makes course loads a bit different compared to a regular person.

Studying Math with ADHD

So I'm in my 4th year of Data Science, and I've struggled with Math, mostly Calc, but generally with the subject. I switched from Computer Science to this degree since I was a bit better at Data Analytics, and I've succeeded much more than I did in Data Science, but Math is still my weakness.

I'm not on meds nor plan to be immediately (I took meds when I was first diagnosed with ADHD in 2024, but the side effects were so severe that I opted out of them). I might plan on it, but I'm still debating it.

I'm planning to try supplements like L-theanine and have tried Ginkgo biloba, but I want to hear any and all tips from people on how they study math (Specifically stats, linear algebra, and Calculus).

What I've done is usually use ChatGPT as a tutor, upload my materials, and have it teach them to me while also helping me answer questions like those in my lecture notes.

Is MATH 3330 cancelled today?

So I'm at the tutorial today, and nobody is here. Was the lecture and tutorial cancelled?

I didn't come to lecture last week; I did the test in the test center, and by the time it finished, lecture was mostly over.

Unsure if I should do my final

So I'm currently taking Math 2015 in the S1 section, after barely failing it in the Winter. Though I'm doing much worse in it rn, like 5% on one test worth 20% and 18% on the other test worth 20%.

I know passing this course will be nearly impossible, given how badly I did on the tests; even if passing is possible, and if I drop it, I'll get a W. Should I still drop it, or just take the F on my record? The final is Wednesday.

York mailing service inquiry

Hey, has anyone used York's mailing service before, specifically the mailbox:

Link here: https://www.yorku.ca/mailingservices/

According to them:
The mailboxes are located inside our unit in 019 Curtis Lecture Hall. The fee is $11.77 per month and a $10 deposit is required.

Was thinking about renting one for a month or two, wanted to know if it's actually for students or if I'm confusing myself.

BSWD Funding for a Tutor

So I have an official diagnosis of ADHD and have applied for BSWD funding previously. However, my counsellor says that an ADHD diagnosis isn't enough to get funding for a tutor. (It would be for a Math tutor since my degree has a lot of math courses and the extra supports help.) Is this actually true, or has anyone applied for and received funding for a tutor through BSWD?

I'm considering reaching out to someone official about this directly, but I wanted to ask here first.

Tips to get Work/Study jobs?

So I'm looking ahead and applying to Work/Study jobs for the Fall, and I have decent experience (One internship with the Ministry of Infrastructure, two internships in Quality support at a private company, did one Work-Study as a support desk helper at York, and currently in an internship at the same private company for a different team).

But I know the process of securing Work Study jobs is brutal (I've gotten a few interviews, but they didn't go anywhere after). I'm hoping people here might have some tips since I have decent experience and have done a Work/Study before.

I know the basics are to tailor your resume to each position and only include relevant experience based on the posting, but I want to hear any other tips or tricks people have. (Plus, as someone with health issues and a disability, that process is very tiring but needed)
