Self-improving agents on just ChatGPT (not Codex)

Subreddit rule statement: link is to blog post that explores an interesting use case of ChatGPT. Informational, not promoting/selling anything.

Summary: By using Google Drive as file storage for ChatGPT, one can implement advanced algorithms such as self-improvement agents, which were not possible with ChatGPT before.

Files Are All You Need: Towards Self-Improvement in ChatGPT

Subreddit rule statement: link is to blog post that explores an interesting use case of ChatGPT. Not self-promotion.

TL;DR: Using Google Drive / Sharepoint as persistent file storage for ChatGPT enables new agentic capabilities that were only possible with coding agents, such as Ralph loops and self-improvement.

Got tired of overly technical/generic AI courses, so I built this (100% free, no sign up required)

Hey everyone,

I am a PhD student working on agent reliability, passionate about helping people adapt and thrive with AI.

People around me want to learn more about AI, but existing online courses/videos felt scattered, generic, and hard to apply to real work.

So I built a project that boils down my learnings into concise, practical mini-lessons.

  • Learn what AI can do, what it cannot do
  • Understand terms like tokens, context windows, agents, RAG
  • Follow AI news without feeling lost
  • Build practical intuition without jargons/hype
  • Start from zero, or fill the gaps if you already know a bit

All lessons are hand-written. No AI slop.

It also includes a library of practical AI automations using common tools like ChatGPT. E.g.

  • daily email/calendar brief agent
  • meeting manager
  • second-brain knowledge-base agent

The focus is on simple-but-useful automations you can start using right away.

Each automation has detailed step-by-step instructions (and videos!). tried to make it very easy to setup.

Fully free, no sign up required.

Would love feedback on what would make this more useful.

Update: We shared a practical AI learning roadmap here last week. We added a library of automations you can use daily (100% free, no sign up required)

Hey everyone, posted here a week ago about a AI learning roadmap I built that focus on practical understanding without the hype and jargons.

We took it one step futher and added a library of practical AI automations using common tools like ChatGPT. E.g.

  • daily email/calendar brief agent
  • meeting manager
  • second-brain knowledge-base agent

The focus is again on practicality. We start with simple-but-useful automations you can start using right away. No fancy demos that work half the time.

Each automation has detailed step-by-step instructions (and videos!). Super easy to setup.

There is also a prompt customization assistant for each automation. It asks a few questions about your preferences and customizes the prompt for you. No more "ugh this prompt doesnt work and I dont know how to tweak it". pretty convenient.

Same as before. 100% free, no sign up required. Lessons/workflows are hand-written.

About me: PhD student working on agent reliability, passionate about helping people adapt and thrive with AI.

Would love your feedback!

Hey everyone,

Posted here a week ago about a AI learning roadmap we built that focus on practical understanding without the hype and jargons.

The response was positive (thanks for trying that out!). Love to see that we could help.

A Small Site That Explains LLM/Agents Without the Hype (100% free, no sign up required)

I am a PhD student at UofToronto doing agent research. Seen a lot of hype around this topic which get people (especially non-tech) hella confused.

In reality I dont think these stuff are that complex, if taught properly. So made this quick site that distills what I’ve learned to help people go from 0 to 1.

  • Tried to keep it intuition drive, non-hype, and honest.
  • Explain terms like tokens, context windows, agents, RAG
  • Follow AI news without feeling lost
  • Build practical intuition without coding or ML theory

Everything is hand-written. No AI slop.

Fully free, no sign up required.

Would love feedback on what would make this more useful.
