I don't like that we "adopted" Cucurella ahead of time.
I'm happy for the guy and congratulate him on his success and i'm happy he'll be on our team next season. He's going to be amazing.
But... He was not our player last season. He hasn't even worn the white jersey yet. Acting like he was "representing" Real Madrid on the Spain team is... kinda pathetic? Pitiful?.
I'm not saying it is wrong. it is technically right but they're/we're doing too much. That's my problem. It's too much for a player that hasn't even debuted. And i know why we're doing it... but still. It's cringe.
I'm sure our rivals look at it and think "LMAO, Look at them pretending he was their player".
Megadeth concerts are too short.
I want to open the debate and to make it known to Dave and the team.
This year i've been to 4 shows.
- Rush
- Megadeth
- System of a Down
- AC/DC
Now. None of these are the same. But i'll give you a quick breakdown of setlists from best to worst.
- System of a Down felt like they never wanted to stop. No rest, nothing left to give. They played 29 total songs (some of them are intros, or very short) and everyone was very pleased. I know they are the youngest of the group and their songs don't have that much technicality on the guitar, and have a dedicated singer. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/system-of-a-down/2026/estadio-gnp-seguros-mexico-city-mexico-634c6633.html
- Rush: They played 24 songs. If you know Rush, you know some of these songs are anthems lasting for 15 minutes. They had energy to give and looked like they weren't even tired in the end. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/rush/2026/palacio-de-los-deportes-mexico-city-mexico-1b414960.html
- AC/DC: I'm going to be honest. I didn't quite like this show, but you can't contest the energy. 21 songs with very old guys giving it all. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/acdc/2026/estadio-gnp-seguros-mexico-city-mexico-3b4fdce0.html
- Megadeth: 15 songs. They rest and regroup after every song. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/megadeth/2026/arena-ciudad-de-mexico-mexico-city-mexico-2b4e407e.html
Now... let's get the obvious out of the way:
- Dave literally had throat cancer and recovered. I know this would shorten his ability to play longer concerts but.... concerts never really were much longer before the cancer 10 years ago. Look it up on setlist.fm. It's around 18 songs 10 years ago.
- Yes they are old guys, much older than System of a Down. But you got guys like ACDC and Rush who are older and still playing longer concerts.
- Megadeth is leaving out a ton of hits and beloved songs in the concerts. Unlike other bands, every one i talk to about megadeth concerts always discuss what songs they DIDN'T play, because there's always a lot.
- Megadeth concerts are just as expensive as the other bands mentioned.
- Megadeth concerts are amazing. I love the band. Love the energy love the songs. They are my favorite band.
Megadeth is retiring soon(ish). And i just wish i could go to a Megadeth concert that didn't feel like it ends too soon. I've been to 4 and as soon as they hit you with Peace Sells you know its over and it's always sooner than you expect.
