Processed overnight orders.

Received email requesting ship to address change on one of sales. Sent him email saying no can do and cancelled order due to address issues and item was relisted by eBay.

Checked refund and it didn't refund shipping label. Increased price of item by the amount of the shipping label and messaged the buyer informing him of the cancellation.

Questions

Are buyers able to change the ship to address from their account address when making a purchase?

Is it the sellers responsibility to cover the cancelled shipping label when a buyer makes this type of mistake?

Am I wrong to increase the price of the item when relisted by the cancelled shipping label?

While trying to process an order, A message pops up when trying to purchase shipping label. Buyer address invalid, won't let me process. Googled buyer but slightly different results so unable to confidently edit.

I have messaged buyer twice with no reply. He has decent purchasing feedback so not a concern.

The address for buyer has no spaces between words and AI might be seeing this and possibly causing pop up.

Do I try USPS to try to get accurate mailing address or wait for a reply from buyer? I have until tomorrow to ship on time.

Looking for someone that has run into this before and how you resolved issue.

Why does anyone use "Free" shipping?

Just a tip - Nothing you ship and no destination you ship to is "Free".

Why add cost of shipping to selling price of item? People know that if you are shipping an item to them, it will cost the seller to get it to them. Stop pretending your not adding shipping cost to items price and charge actual shipping.

Put your crystal ball back in the attic and let buyer pay actual shipping cost if they want the item.

The shipping cost is a cost of buying online unless you have your own shipping fleet and make billions of dollars per year.

If they want to purchase online to save the trip to a retail store / gas / convenience / free return policy, they need to be willing to pay to have you ship it.

If your selling items that 15 people are selling for less, and you offer free shipping to get the sale, I would suggest you look in the mirror to see where the problem is.

My first thought was to reply......"Better for whom?"

Having learned that when you give a reason for declining their request only leads to a bad review when they ultimately purchase it, I cleared my initial reply and sent " Price is as listed"

Mailed a package, it spend 4 weeks at regional shipping hub. Customer filled Item not received. Requested and received approval for reimbursement from USPS. Check mailed.

I send out at least one eBay order per day so the carrier is familiar with my mailbox.

Local USPS driver delivered the check to one of my neighbors.
