How morally bankrupt do you have to be to celebrate the death of an innocent person

How morally bankrupt do you have to be to celebrate the death of an innocent person

Imagine being such a horrible person that you celebrate the death of a person just because they are related to someone they hate

And this is not the first time the right wing has done it

They’ve constantly cheered and celebrated the deaths in Gaza

They cheer people getting beaten up as “treatment”

You will also find the same right wing subs who live the government, posting constant misogynistic stuff, like the meme about Dhruv Rathee’s wife. And general hatred towards women

The same people who claim women get special advantages, and say men should also have protections, are suddenly fully okay with goons beating up a person because he’s a man ( and a minor, mind you! )

The left wing gets accused of supporting Islamic terrorism and hating Hindus, is there a single example of anyone on the left wing celebrating and innocent person getting beaten or killed?

Kiren Rijiju says that Dimagi Naxals are those who oppose the constitution, and BJP is making posts about them shooting down Dimagi Naxals - so when are they going after those who say India should not be a secular country?

As per the constitution of India, India is a secular country. There is a certain section of people however, who consider this wrong, and state that India should not be a secular country

Now in a normal democracy, such dissent and expression of opinions is welcome. However the ruling BJP has made it clear that anyone who opposes the constitution is a Dimagi Naxal. And they have also made videos showing them gunning down the Dimagi Naxals with semi-automatic rifles

So what’s stopping them from finding those who oppose the secular nature of our country and isolating them as they claimed. If they need help in finishing such people, I’m happy to point them to the subReddits and Instagram pages where you can find them all

> “The second, he said, comprised people who do not accept the Constitution”

Why is the Indian right wing so pathetic?

With the recent protests, rightfully demanding accountability from the government and the resignation of the education minister after the latest paper leak of NEET, and the minister actually resigning - the right wing is showing their sad mindset to the world

People are having a giant meltdown because an incompetent minister resigned! An issue which was very real, the government admitting there was a leak and holding a re-exam, affecting lakhs of students - and the right wing is UPSET because the education minister resigned. When ministers of the UPA resigned before 2014, I don’t remember people crying over it

Anand Ranganathan is going hysterical on TV, screaming about how no one is asking Punjab and Karnataka’s ministers to resign, and the right wing army is spamming the same all over social media. On this, there are a few points I want to make

  1. Literally no one was preventing the right wing from taking up the cause and protesting for these resignations from the get-go. They didn’t care. They are only pretending to care about this issue now, in revenge for the fact that their minister had to resign. That’s just pathetic

  2. They keep screaming about paper leak in Punjab and Karnataka, just because they happen to be ruled by opposition states. There are no proven paper leaks in either of these states - just allegations of cheating ( not even leaks ). Why can’t they take it to court and prove it, and then call for resignations? No one called for resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan until the NEET paper leak was proven, and the government admitted it

  3. Even if both of the above were true, it’s silly to bundle them together - NEET affects lakhs of students nationwide, while the Punjab Pharma exam affected 5k people. When asking for action against a serial killer, would you also shout about why no one is asking for action against a person who is accused of a single murder?? When asking for action against a terror attack, would you also shout about why a vandal isn’t being caught?

The right wing influencers also lack any semblance of a brain. Look at the screenshot attached for example - in which the caption says “Punjab pharmacy exam leaked” - while the screenshot of the news clipping posted literally says there was no evidence of a leak. Can these people seriously not read??

The American right wing isn’t this bad, when Kristi Noem got fired for being incompetent - the right wingers didn’t lose their minds and start posting bullshit. They also didn’t glaze the new appointee and say stupid shit like “the game has just begun” and “He’s a Brahmin and RSS member, CJP will cry now”

The Indian right wing doesn’t care about right wing values - they think education and other such concerns are a “game”, a way to own the libs, a way to put a person of their preferred caste and ideals, just to “Win”. They’re sad and pathetic

People pretending to care about safety and FIA suddenly - because a driver they dislike benefitted

( Ignore the red circling, it’s an image I had in hand from a previous attempt at highlighting to someone who steadfastly claimed that the car was fully behind the barriers )

The very same people and subs that are blaming the FIA ( I won’t even get to the ones where people are blaming George ) for not throwing double yellows immediately - were up in arms and accusing the FIA of fraud when there was a VSC in Mexico

In Mexico there was a car near the track, stopped. The car was outside the barriers. The driver was getting out and there were Marshalls out. Perfect VSC criteria. Yet people said FIA was doing it on purpose to rob Max of a P2 ( which he was not going to get anyways )

In yesterday’s quali, a car was in the barrier well off the race track, driver in the car and no Marshalls. That’s always a yellow flag first. Then gets upgraded when the driver gets out, or Marshalls have to come out

So people should just stop pretending that they care about safety, and just say they’re unhappy that a driver they dislike benefitted from the rules

Why are non-right wing influencers expected to be unbiased, while right wing can stick to their side?

With the recent rise of Cockroach Janata Party getting a huge following, and the general popularity of Dhruv Rathee - a criticism is often and loudly thrown around - that they are biased. That they are aligned with AAP’s ideals. That they push a leftist agenda

My question to this is - so what?? Why can’t people talk about what they believe in? Why can’t they criticise those they disagree with and whose policies they are against?? Why is there a compulsion that they must be equally critical of BJP and Congress, or of right wing and left wing issues?

There are several right wing influencers on Instagram - each with a face that is a window to the lack of intelligence underneath - who solely praise the BJP, its right wing ideals, and criticise congress. Hell, they even criticise the party that has not been in power for a decade, by pulling out old tweets and news. You will never see them once criticise BJP, or talk about issues like the NEET leak

So why is the discourse online ( for example on Reddit ) that these non-right wing influencers are getting “exposed” for their bias, and are somehow anti-national!?

Revdi when it’s Karnataka, Masterstroke when it’s West Bengal

The newly formed BJP government in West Bengal has announced 2 new schemes. Sound familiar?

When Karnataka introduced these schemes in 2023, the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman blasted the Congress government calling it “revdi” and that it would bankrupt the state. She said that the center will withhold more funds ( which rightfully belong to Karnataka ) because the state is supposed to pay its own bill ( which …. It does, along with that of other states )

Karnataka gets back 13 rupees for every 100 generated, West Bengal gets 90

This is the hypocrisy of the BJP. The money that our state generates is used to fund “freebies” in several other BJP ruled states, but when it funds our own, they have a problem

The BJP hates Karnataka! - and it has made it abundantly clear. What’s worse is the gullible people here who jumped on the propaganda of only Karnataka’s welfare schemes being bad, while the centre’s and other states’ schemes are good

This government is crying because crude oil prices have been high for 3 months - it was higher for 3 whole years under UPA

Yes there has been a war in the Middle East and an oil crisis that has spiked the price of the war for the last few months. However, the way BJP and its supporters have been behaving, you would think there has been some unprecedented apocalyptic event

The price has been high for just 3 months, and Modi has already made multiple appeals to the public to try and save his failed economy. His supporters also just point to the war as an excuse for every economic disaster ( like the rupee’s condition ). Modi is also now trying to tell people that this is a global crisis that’ll put the whole world into poverty

Let’s look at the facts - crude oil has spiked to over a 100 dollars per barrel just since the last 3-4 months. Prior to that, the government enjoyed several years of cheap oil prices to fill their coffers, and prepare for this eventuality- which they didn’t

During the previous administration, the UPA government had to deal with 3 continuous years ( 2011-13 ) where the average price was above 100 dollars

What happened then? - Growth slowed for 3 years and recovered, Rupee fell but the overall fall over 10 year was contained to 33%, oil bonds helped keep the economy running - of course the media and opposition at the time took this up and ran a huge campaign to kick the Congress out of power

Today we haven’t even had 3 months of these prices - and the government has already failed to control the rupee. It has desperately asked people to stop buying gold and importing stuff ( something the Chidambaram only had to in 2013, after 3 years of oil crisis, and not on a national address ). There are reports of oil companies losing money, and how the prices need to be raised more though they never fell. And Modi has started preparing the citizens to go into poverty

We should thank our stars we didn’t have this government during the 2011-13 period - otherwise our economy may have been in the dumpster today

We should also shudder to think what will happen to our country if the oil prices remain high for 3 years like last time, given how much the government is already doomsaying for just 3 months of elevated prices

Source for global crude - https://www.macrotrends.net/2480/brent-crude-oil-prices-10-year-daily-chart

Edit: as people keep spamming “oil bonds” in the comments even though I have covered it above, let’s look at the facts

“UPA passed on debt to future generations with oil bonds”

That’s how all economic policies work, this is nothing different from borrowing money. Oil bonds were 1.5 lakh crores, to keep the economy running. The National debt is 215 lakh crores. The bullet train alone is 1.9 lakh crores. All of these infrastructure projects that BJP gets credited with - they’re all pushed to future generations too. There’s nothing wrong with just oil bonds

Further - the government in FY 2021 alone collected 3.7 lakh crores from fuel taxes - more than the entire oil bond bill with interest. Where did that money go?

A reminder that India cut corporate taxes in 2019 for growth that never came - and now taxes you to death for everything

https://www.investindia.gov.in/team-india-blogs/india-slashes-corporate-income-tax-10-boldest-move-stimulate-economy-1991

Back in 2019, the government massively cut corporate tax rates. News and media celebrated it, as did industrialists - hailing it as a great move that’ll boost investments and the Indian economy

Fast forward to 2026, and that growth has never come. Covid ( which was the excuse used for the longest time ), has come and long gone, and there has been no growth story at all. Foreign Investments have dropped, domestic investments are stretched, and companies are not showing good enough results. The stock market has run out of steam - in the last 5 years, pretty much every major market has outperformed India’s, and this is before even accounting for the rupee’s depreciation

On the other hand - the common citizen gets taxed to death for everything. Income tax slabs get rarely revised, GST cut too little and too late in a desperate attempt to salvage the economy. For the first time in history, income tax has surpassed corporate taxes

Today, after taxing us for the last several years for even something basic as Fuel - to such an extent that all the benefits of cheap crude oil were nullified, they’re raising the prices more claiming they need more money. They’re talking about a cess on foreign travel. They’ve increased import duties on Gold

And yet - the economy is still bleeding

The Modi government has failed the economy spectacularly, and punished the commoners of this country. The people who blindly vote in the name of religion have no idea how bad a hand they’ve been dealt

In a few years - this period of India will be a case study across the world on how to destroy a perfectly healthy and booming economy, while the citizens suffer

Whenever a debate comes up about the next assembly elections - a question always arises - “If not Modi, then who?”. Right wingers and claimed centrists say that they cannot possibly vote for any other party than the BJP, because they can’t see a single PM candidate from those parties

This argument exposes the actual understanding the masses have of our parliamentary democracy - we do not actually elect a person unlike the US, we elect representatives, and the PM is just the face of these representatives. You are supposed to elect the best candidate for your constituency, not the PM directly. But, I accept that the perception is such, and that people look to directly elect the leader

However, the hypocrisy around this is baffling. Take the WB elections that are going on for instance. BJP is campaigning with Modi and Shah, all news channels are portraying it as Modi vs Didi. I simply do not understand this - is Modi going to leave his post and become the next CM of WB if BJP gets a majority? Why is he being portrayed by the media as the person Mamata Banerjee is fighting against?

BJP does not even have a CM candidate in mind. And yet, no one cares; the very same people who say that they can’t see any single person in other parties lead the country, have no problem that they have no idea who the CM candidate even is

Thus there is massive hypocrisy in the democratic process of India, thanks to the disproportionate and the cult-like popularity one man enjoys. If he is contesting an election, then people care about the individual, if he is not, they just still care that he is campaigning irrespective of the actual individual being elected. CMs are being elected all over the country without the public even having ever heard their names before they get sworn in, because the country just blindly votes in the name of Modi
