Am I interpreting this DNA match right?

So about two years ago my brother and his wife had a daughter named Maddie. The wife in question had two daughters from a previous marriage and not long after she admitted to my brother she was cheating on him and the baby wasn’t his. She then got back with her ex and that was the end. Well I’ve recently found in my DNA matches a “M.B” that comes up as half niece or 1st cousin and the uploader of the DNA is my brothers ex. Does this almost certainly mean that’s my brothers kid and she’s lying?? One of the common matches we have is my grandmas brother

Help finding my 3rd great grandparents

My 2nd great grandfather is named John W Bowles. He was born June 5th 1870 in west plains Missouri and he died December 31st 1947 in Benton county Arkansas. His life is a mystery enough as it is, I know he married my 2nd great grandmother Mary Collins on August 15th 1912 in Howell county and the marriage fell apart shortly after because she is living with her brother and my great grandpa in 1920. John pretty much vanishes until 1940 when he’s living with Mary’s great nephew and then vanishes again until his death certificate in 1947. It only lists his father as a “John Wilson Bowles” and after over a year of looking I have found exactly zero records of that name or any Bowles family that I haven’t ruled out. If anyone could help me I’d be so thankful. I can provide information if needed. I have two suspected grandparents named John Bowles and Brittania bray who were in the area at the time and passed 5 and 10 years before his birth, but neither have a confirmed son named John

What’s the coolest discovery you’ve made?

I’ve found some amazing stuff, from cousinship with multiple presidents to descent from mayflower passengers. But my absolute favorite thing that I’ll always be sure to mention in these discussions is the revelation that my 9th great grandfather Edmund Du Chastel was a privateer turned Pirate. His name is on a list with 15 other “Red Sea pyrates” and he even had an arrest warrant issued in Philadelphia where a man sent from England to apprehend pirates wrote back saying he was astonished my ancestor and his friends were allowed to walk around without a care in the world.

Help finding my 3rd great grandparents

I’ve been working on this for over a year and still have almost no information. This is my 2nd great grandfather John W Bowles death certificate. It labels his dad as a John Wilson Bowles. I have searched countless census records, documents and I’m at my wits end. I have even contacted the national archives and they said they cannot locate anyone fitting this information. If anyone out there could help me I’d be so appreciative. I also have his marriage record to my 2nd great grandmother and my great grandfathers draft card listing his address if needed. This is a genuine mystery and feels unsolvable at the moment
