Groundbreaking policies

Ive been tasked with rewritingour companies policies. I am really looking to push the boundaries here. The previous policies followed the letter of the law but I want to challenge the executive with something more supportive for employees.

THEy do have to be within the realms of the law and they cant be so outrageous they dont take them seriously. Im looking suggestions. Please suggest what you would most like to change about your own employment policies

Safe in my home?

I am having a flair it seems to be hitting new joints. I was stuck in bed reliant on friends for a few days. I asked my doctor for help. They sent out the paramedics. Who decided I was definitly not safe in my home. I said I was i just needed better pain medication because I was basically sobbing in pain and using various belts tied around thw house to get me up in bed and out of bed. They decided I wasnt safe and said they were taking me to the assessment ward for the night to be assessed. I ended in the ED because it was joint related 7 hours later I saw a doctor and was told there were seriously ill people in the hospital and I needed to be at home. They gave me a shot of morphine and sent me on my way advising me not to come back. I guess I am safe at home. I got back at 2.30am and was helped to my door by the cab driver and then I closed the door on the world again. I dont know how long this flair will last, no drugs seem to work for me (2nd lot of biologics to be abandoned this week with one more to try and 2 weeks), even morphine doesnt which i could have told them if they had given me a chance. I am nitbsure how much grit I have in me to keep going. Thabkful for all my friends and desperate for a solution.

I read this as a child in the 70s. The child goes by ship to somewhere in south America because her father is ill. When they get there they travel to a tribe where her father has his skull trepanned. I think it all ended well. Would love to know what this book was. Imguessing I read it when I was around 8-10, it had a prr9found effect on me as a child.

Ive lived alone for about 10 years now. At times single at times in a relationship and o truly love it. The verday is good. I am lucky to have good friends and neighbours so i am never lonely just alone. I wanted to share my top tip for celebration days. I always plan on waking up at home alone and i plan my morning carefully. I have my favourite foods and i my myself a gift, plan my days activities around what I will enjoy doing. Usually i have other people to visit or be visited by but at times those plans have fallen foul of weather or illness so for me the trick is always to plan on the full day of just enjoying being me!
