An Enlightened Corner: Jumpy Infection

Good evening r/ToBeFolk_X. It is I, your host, u/UnimpressedPasserby, back at it again with another episode of Enlightened Corner! The show where we bring you small, bite-sized news of the day.

I hope your day have been fine, mine certainly is. Part of me is a little panicking since the deadline for the first part of my thesis is coming up and I just started, but i have too much toxic positivity to let that keep me down. I do apologize for not posting much news lately, as you can tell I am finishing college soon, that mean thesis, internship, and eventually getting a j*b. Your boy is all grown up now, which come with all of it responsibility so I can't be active as I used to. But enough about that, let's get back to the usual program.

(Honestly there's a chance this part will be shorter than the message above, don't hold me on that though) Recently, and by recently I mean like half a day ago, the Discord server was hit by a certain horrifying event, Jumpy have cloned herself! I know what you're thinking, but don't run for the hill yet, since the situation is under control as far as I know and everything have returned to normal. I believed it all started with Jumpy and her alt, which then turned into a full blown infection as more and more 'Jumpy' was spawn from our very own community members!

Personally this scene would've been straight out of my darkest nightmare if I was there to witness it, I'm talking Gore Nightmare level of horrifying (anyone got the reference?), but thankfully I wasn't so I'm still mentally unstable.

Still, have the nightmare truly pass or have it just begun ? Would there be more random infection later down the line ? And when will I get one?

Good morning , it is I, your usual host, u/UnimpressedPasserby, and welcome back to the returning episode of Enlightening Weekends! The show where we compile all the latest news of the week into a bite-sized post for your entertainment!

This is not an official return, as I doubt I will have time to do this in the upcoming weeks consistently with exams knocking on my door. Still, I believe this is warranted after months of absence due to the ongoing tournament. Now, as much as I wanna continue yapping, I won't waste your time any longer. Let's get this show on the road!

- TBFX harassment campaign (Monday, April 13th): While this had happened a long time ago, I believe it deserves a mention with how big of a controversy it was. On April 13th, u/Ben10-fan-525 and a few other users on Discord came up with an idea: As a joke, they'd raid the main sub, r/ToBeHero_X. This idea expectedly backfire, causing many users to be banned from the main sub, including some innocent people who didn't partook but had a hand in the talk, and caused an even larger drift between the two communities, as the Folk sub was made in the first place because heavy and NSFW agenda contents were banned on the main sub. Worse, these actions were violating Reddit's ToS and might've led to the banning of the subreddit we know and love. Let this event be a lesson for the future, as to why this subreddit was made in the first place, and why it contents should remain here, because it won't be accepted anywhere else.

- D-Lost cursed ships (Monday): On Monday, we get to witness this abomination from one of our fellows, u/D-Lost. This behavior is nothing new to those who knows of this individual, atleast as far as I've heard. Naturally, this ship catch the intention of our local, former Calamity Curse, Chikentender, whom used her art skills to make a piece for it. I won't be showing it here, but you can go look for it if you're a freak like that or you're morbidly curious.

- Bee's returns (Monday): Prior to this, our subreddit owner, u/Several-Bee-7865 was banned from Reddit due to a comment he made in a different subreddit, which led to the subreddit being owned by u/No-Gazelle-6898 for a while (shiver). Thankfully, he have returned on this Monday on a different account, and hopefully will continue to stay and not be banned again. He have since celebrated his return by immediately forcing Unrelenting-Soul and Jumpy into a marriage. Classic Bee.

- Clone's new series (Wednesday): Something that I believe was started prior to this week, our local artist u/-CloneTrooper7469- started a new series, in which he'll ask community members to say one thing they like about one of the main character in TBHX. The series is currently still ongoing, having only gone through half of the main cast so far.

- Darh's artworks (Thursday): While I don't have the context for this beyond the provided images, it seems the local ragebaiter u/EmotionalPerformer12 have tried and failed to ragebait u/darh1407, Queendom's Emperor, who then proceed to follow through with his words and made a very wholesome Queeny's art. If only he didn't also follow up with a Nice pregnant with Shang De's child artwork...

- Hat's infection (Friday): Originally, the final duel of the tournament was set on this Monday, but due to technical issues on Hatterr's side via electricity, she wasn't able to make it in time. In the wait for her return, a new cult of top hat have risen and takeover the Discord, with everyone and their mother wearing top hat, me included. This seems to have worked as Top-Hatterr showed up again not long after, and a new date for the duel was set.

- Spinach returns (Saturday): I don't have alot to say on this, as it is pretty straightforward. On Saturday this week, u/SpinachDonut_21 made his comeback after a long time of absence, promising alot more projects in the future.

- X Divine Council's Bulletin returns (Saturday): That day was truly a day of revival, as a new series also made it comeback, that being u/Bitter_Handle367's bulleting, our own predecessor. Bitter had said he stopped doing it due to lack of interest, so I'm glad he changed his mind, it's good to see an old hand back in the game again.

- Duel Tournament conclusions (Sunday): As mentioned prior, u/Top-Hatterr, E-Soulpire new leader and one of the two finalists alongside u/pav9000, Niceperium leader, had faced technical issues and couldn't make it to the first set date of the duel, so it was rescheduled to this Saturday, around 23:00pm where I live. Unfortunately, she was also late to this due to yet another issue, this time being one of her slander got corrupted, so after one hour and a half, the duel finally commence much to my own fatigue. Thankfully, the duel itself was quite legendary, with alot more humor than shock factor, leading to my mood lifting up. In the end, the victor was Pav with a 2.4 point differences, fulfilling the prophecy of Hatterr losing extreme diff. A round of applause for both of our fighters, for delivering a duel that worth the wait.

- New rule added (Sunday): As one of the perk of victory, alongside the subreddit being changed into Nice theme, a new rule was added that allow mods to takedown any and all Nice slanders within the sub for a set amount of time, as he is the goat of the winner of the Duel Tournament, pav9000. I urge any Nice haters to reconsider if you think of posting slander, as it will be taken down during this period of time.

- Tournament tierlist (Sunday): Also in response to the finale of the Duel Tournament, one of the judge, Icy-Roll, made a new series where he ranked the tournament participants via comments in each post in a tierlist system, determining the strongest and weakest slanderers of the sub. So far, he have just finished with OrdinaryReindeer and have now moved onto himself. This series is set to be here for a long time, given the amount of participants within the tournament.
