Relocated from Queensland to the National Maritime Museum, Sydney

A photograph from 1855 compared to Winterhalter's watercolour from the same time.

This is 4-foot replica. It was handcrafted by a former Trinity House keeper.

On my visit to Sydney last month, I did an evening tour of the Observatory---It was a clear evening, and we were able to see Alpha Centari through the high-powered telescope. This is a must-do experience for visitor and locals alike.

This model has the "old" Coast Guard colors. It was crafted by Dan Marvicsin of Spokane.
