GAME STUTTERING ON RX 9060XT 16GB
I've spent hours trying to fix the stuttering in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, and at this point I'm convinced it's an engine issue rather than a hardware problem.
My PC is more than capable of running the game. GPU utilization rarely goes above 50%, CPU usage stays below 50%, average FPS is very high, and even my 1% lows are usually above 80 FPS. Despite that, the game suffers from noticeable microstutters every few seconds. Frametime constantly spikes from around 8 ms to nearly 20 ms.
Things I've already tried:
- Lowering every graphics setting.
- Vulkan renderer.
- Special K.
- Registry tweaks to disable the Unity anti-aliasing workaround.
- FPS limits.
- Different V-Sync options.
- CPU affinity tests.
- Fresh AMD drivers.
None of these made any meaningful difference.
The constant frametime spikes completely break immersion. Has anyone actually found a real fix, or is this simply an unavoidable limitation of Deadfire's Unity engine?
