I came back at the start of the season, hit Gold III, and took a short break.
Now I'm back, and I see Silver players basically rolling their faces across the keyboard while perfectly mastering timing, counter-cycles, and so on...
Do you guys also feel like the average skill level has gone up?

Petit post pour prendre un peu la température de la communauté.
Côté Bourse, en ce moment le marché va d'ATH en ATH a des valorisations historiquement élevées.
Côté Crypto c'est la douche froide pour BTC/ETH sans parler des alts.
Côté Immo, le marché est a l'arrêt avec des hausses de taux de crédit a venir.
Bref, un peu partout tout semble un peu bloqué et tous les flux sont dirigés vers les semi-conducteurs et l'IA qui ont des variations intraday assez folles parfois.
Que faites-vous sur vos investissements ? Pour ma part je m'accroche a mon DCA World qui m'a plutôt bien réussi jusque la.

If I transfer it to the Trade Republic wallet, will this information be retained, and will a new G&P be calculated because it will be mixed with BTC already present in the TR wallet?

Une simple question/débat, en admettant que la stratégie lazy en ETF World produit 8%/an (et validé par la pratique pour ma part) comment battre cette performance ?
Je veut dire, le couple rendement risque est optimal avec cette stratégie, à l'autre bout de la courbe on pourrait trouver des turbos x50, mais qu'est-ce qui existe entre ces deux points ?
La crypto en ce moment est dans le rouge, le stock picking est assez controversé avec SPIVA.
Sur quoi allez-vous pour battre le world ?

Je suis très intéressé par DoW IV, qui sort en septembre, et j'ai une question.
Je suis un joueur assez compétitif (1v1 sur AoE IV), et je voulais savoir s'il y aura un mode compétitif pour DoW IV.
J'ai vu que les développeurs se sont surtout concentrés sur la campagne solo et le scénario, et je me demande si le multijoueur aura suffisamment de contenu pour les occuper.

I have to get this off my chest, my sister-in-law has an 8-year-old child.
Of course, he's a little angel diagnosed with ADHD and high intellectual potential. Very well.
However, he exhibits behaviors that I find extremely worrying and tending towards sociopathy (and I choose my words carefully).
The little one is capable of literally HARASSING you until you say yes to what he wants, absolutely non-stop despite reprimands.
When you have a conversation between adults, sitting at the table, he physically comes and puts himself between you and your interlocutor to whine or beg or tell his life story. Completely disregarding the fact that his mother is actually talking to me.
The kid is extremely dirty, fingers in his nose, boogers eaten, and of course no hand washing after pooping, and he didn't even flush the toilet... Had to yell at him to make him go wash his hands.
He regularly hits his sister, and continues to lie even when caught in the act.
He is extremely self-centered; it's as if the other person doesn't exist and is merely a tool to serve his immediate interests: food, games, cuddles.
I swear I'm trying to be factual in describing all of this.
Having described all of this, I realize that I am the adult capable of analyzing it.
And I don't understand what could drive someone to behave like that.
Okay, his biological parents are separated. Okay, he has a little sister.
But still, not all children with separated parents and siblings are this extreme.
The honest truth is, I just can't stand this kid despite two years of trying. I try to be impartial, of course, in my actions and games, but I can see that when he shows up, the other kids are less inclined to play and tend to avoid him.
When he comes to cuddle you in the evening, even though he's been driving you crazy, you're only human; you just don't want to, and it makes you feel guilty if you have even a shred of conscience.
In conclusion, I just hope we're not overlooking something serious, that this kid isn't being abused, or worse, raped—I don't even want to think about it.
Anyway, what do you think?

After a few hours of research, I'm thinking of buying this TCL 27R83U, which seems pretty good on paper.
What's it like in reality? There are some older threads discussing various issues; I imagine the production lines have improved since then?
Is it safe to buy this monitor in terms of quality?
For €450, I haven't found anything better on paper, in terms of value for money, but if you have any alternatives, I'm open to suggestions.

Like many others, I'm incredibly excited about DoW IV.
I love the Warhammer universe and I remember DoW I from my childhood, and I'm really looking forward to IV.
Since then, I've grown up and played tons of RTS games, and I have to confess something publicly.
I'm absolutely terrible at RTS games, there, I said it.
I'm stuck in Gold I on Age of Empires IV in 300h played ; I can't climb any higher because my brain isn't wired for that much multitasking.
Now that I've publicly admitted to being less intelligent than the average RTS player, the real question is:
Do you think it's possible for a low-skilled player to enjoy PvP?
It's really cruel to appreciate a particular genre but not perform well in it.

I don't know if Gold players can chime in, but I'd like to talk about the experience of being in this percentile.
It's, quite honestly, a huge gap.
You can have a game where someone forgets to build villagers and reaches Age II at 7 minutes completely naked.
And the next game, you have someone who knows all the counter units, micro-speaks perfectly, and has 160+ APM.
The skill gap is absolutely insane at this rank, and I'm sure that in higher ranks, the skill gap narrows.
So yes, of course, there's smurfing, but that can't explain everything.
