Just curious to know if any recent graduates or freshers here have been hired and assigned directly to a QA/Testing role.
I have around 5 years of experience in the Testing/QA domain. Back in 2022, when I was a fresher, I was hired by a company and placed into a cohort. We were then assigned to QA roles and trained in Testing, even without specifically asking for or showing interest in QA.
Is this still happening in 2026? Are companies still hiring freshers and assigning them to QA/Testing roles, followed by training, without necessarily asking about their preferred domain?
Would be interested to hear from anyone who recently joined as a fresher.
