I am trying to find some good quality zataar. I have found the Tamam brand in several stores but it is not quite as rich a flavour as I have had. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I can buy some? Cross posted

I am planning g to knit the Jay sweater which is a free Ravelry pattern.

The gauge is stated to be: 23 sts x 30 rnds = 4” in St st
I am used to seeing gauge described as:
X rows by X stitches = X by X
When I tried my gauge swatch I had about 6 inches horizontal and 4inches vertical.
I tried smaller needles and they made only a small difference.
I know I am not a loose knitter, if anything I tend to knit tightly.
The pattern calls for DK/ Light Worsted wool. I am us ing a light worsted #4 weight yarn.
What am I missing here?
Should I just make a couple sizes smaller sweater? Or?
I am looking g forward to your thoughts and suggestions.
