I need to buy a mobile for my 75yo mum. Her old Nokia clone with big buttons has died and I was thinking it’s time to get her one with a touchscreen so we can do myGov and Medicare for her when required.

She’s already on Aldi Mobile and she needs a cheap unlocked android phone that will be suitable for the Aldi/Telstra network? 5G would be nice for future proofing a little but not essential

I’m particularly interested in getting a phone with the full Telstra frequency compatibility as she sometimes travels with her local pensioner group to the countryside. My plan is to put a senior themed launcher on the phone so there less buttons, so the android is essential.
