Good luck

And pray Harrisburg passes the budget by a reasonable date so we can get our state grants

Regency Mall (Tuckahoe, VA)

I’ve been to over 50 malls at this point on the east coast. This is the textbook definition of a dead mall. I don’t have a history with this mall or anything, I was just visiting the Richmond area for a couple of days and saw this mall was nearby.

I think this post mainly goes out to mall management though. I tried being as civil with security as humanly possible and the interaction went amicably but they said pictures are not allowed of this mall. I’ve seen the big mall YouTubers get in trouble for recording, but I’ve never heard of this policy with pictures. The security guard claimed there was signs posted but I saw none. If you think your mall isn’t nice enough to be photographed, please just try your best to save it or close it down. Don’t put an awkward interaction on innocent people and your security team. I was already having a terrible day as it was and malls are places I enjoy going to and archiving.

This last week has been horrible

I’m basically declined out of everything at this point. I think they might be trying to ban me because sometimes it says surveys aren’t available, I refresh, the surveys are back, then I click on one and I’m declined either immediately or shortly into the survey.

I’ve been a user for over two years. It’s still my preferred survey app because you get your money immediately instead of waiting to hit $5 thresholds or whatever but I have like five survey apps I rotate from now.

Film event with current and former temple people!

Hey guys if you’re in the NE Philly area June 12th come out, meet some people, and watch Expanding Sanctuary, which covers the Philly police department and how they handed their police database to ICE.

A current TU student (me) and two TU alums are involved with the event. We originally pushed to have it held at Temple but they had a lot of requirements. Luckily we’ve found some great people to help us host it and it should be a fun night!

Only real sickos know about the old Bustleton branch

People talk about the boulevard subway a lot to bring more service to northeast Philly but I think this would be cool too and relatively easy if SEPTA could buy it from CSX. The red dots are the stations I would have if we brought it back, Frankford and Solly, then a stop in Holme Circle at Ashton and Tolbut, then on Bustleton ave between grant and welsh. The hardest part would be finding a way to get across the boulevard. Maybe if the boulevard subway is built have it go underground so you can transfer.
